Stage 2 post catcher

Hey guys, sorry if I posted in wrong place.

I am just wondering is it worth investing in a donchamp or a magneboar deck with catcher around the corner?

I mean magneboar did not do to well at nats anyway and after catcher release its just going to get worse. However people are saying that donchamp will still be viable, I personaly dont understand.

Could somone help a rookie out and explain to me.

Also on a offtopic could somone give me a link to a donchamp deck so I can look for myself, thanks.

Donphan abuses a stage one for 1 energy - thats why it is okay with catcher. The second part is, donchamp doesnt really care if you catcher anything due to fighting tag - you can simply use Machamp's Power, Fighting Tag, to move him to your active spot.

Magneboar's only chance is to use switch. If you discard 3/4 energy to retreat, you basically lose.

I think it is best to wait it out if you have no idea what you want to play before catcher. Or test with proxies and figure out what works for you before spending money
