Okay... I lost my bet...

As you all know I am a plumpburly guy. And all burly guys have low stamina... So, how do you improve this problem...

Is it your running speed or breathing technique (I know breathing has something to do with this)... Or just pure power?

Please help me...

Uh.....jogging daily could help. It's kinda easy for me though, I'm like, really skinny. Only 48 kilograms at a height of about 5'10'.

Breathing does have something to do with it. The more you breath the more of you energy you waste. So if you try to limit your breathing you can do a litte bit more. If you aren't fast to begin with then what you can do with that little energy is small to none. I would suggest Jogging for fun. If you don't like to jog (I really hate it) Then just find a place with a steep hill, and just walk up and down that for an hour a day. It won't make you slim, but it will make your legs strong enough to carry your burly self.

I agree with Xatu, I personally don't like jogging and or walking so I bike. There aren't many hill in south fl so i just bike tell I can't go, then bike back. It works for me.

I have a stationary bike. I only play video games while riding it.

Honestly, the secret is in how you breathe.
Don't take ghasps for breath. Breathe calmly and relaxed. Try starting up yoga. I have a bunch of friends (or my parents friends) who are marathon runners. 9/10 of them do yoga. Also, don't burn yourself out. Try to go at a speed where you can stay constant, and yet fast. Start off slow.

Wait, in Malaysia, Yoga is banned for some reason...

And I can't jog daily since I have a quite pact schedule due to the fact that I'm in a boarding school...
And I don't have a steep hill to walk on. Not mentioning a hil

@Xatu - My teachers said that breathing faster increases stamina... It is due to the fact that more oxygen enters through our body... But it is quite a nuisance breathing like a foghorn(ignore that part)...

Well from a stricltly scientific point more oxygen would give an increase in ATP production. However you can only make so much ATP. You need Glucose in your system as well as H2O. So yes if you breath more you will create more energy to be used. Steady breathing is better overall because it puts less strain on the body. Most marathon runners can breath less and focus more on the running because they have trained their mitochondria to process oxygen at a quicker rate.

You don't strike me as a marathon runner, but you still could benefit from trying to train your body. If you just take large deep breaths you won't accomplish much.

Also taking heavier breaths does use more energy, so it really doesn't do much if you take heavy breaths. All of the extra energy goes straight toward fueling your respiriatory system.

In Malaysia, Yoga is banned from Malays but not from other races.
Unless you're a Malay, you could practice yoga.
