Standardized testing: What do you think?

Well we have OAKS in oregon and we finnished Reading and I got a 242!! 3rd highest in the 6th grade. I rock. And after were done we get to surf the web but theres filters but sometimes I can sneak through them and play games

Standardized Tests are useless, a waste of time, a waste of money, and a waste of importance. They don't tell anything about the intellect of anyone, and are too much of a waste to even be considered as a requirement to graduate.

While I was in Florida, I got perfect(or missed only 1) on the FCAT(Floida's standardized test) with enough time to complete about 5 more of the tests. I have literally had classwork that was harder than them. I have been the top of my class for years(since about 2nd grade now in 6th) Why must school be so boring?

I'm in year 8 in the U.K. and in year 9 we were supposed to do SATS but the Government scrapped them because it put too much pressure on kids. Also it's a waste of time in my opinion because we spend the whole year getting ready and it doesn't mean anything at all.

There is a funny side to this though.

At my school, the government makes you right them.

BUT...

The next day when we come back, the teachers told us that the tests mean nothing.

(You'd think a bunch of kids would remember something like that each year, but they don't. EXCEPT ME =P)

Too easy too. The poor standards really made me lazy and have probably cost me my college life.

Honestly. They literally have questions where theres a pic of 2 guys beating each other up, and then ask you if 2 men are fighting. Seriously.
