States would be much more fair if people from other states couldn't compete in other states.

Anyone can go to states, the only events that have requirements are Nationals, which requires 10 Play! Points, and Worlds, which requires a invitation.

The mat looks pretty cool but I heard those sleeves aren't very durable.

The cities sleeves I believe are just like these. they did come with a few extras, and they were at least better than elite trainer box sleeves.

That playmat does look really sweet. Do you also get a playmat just for registering or only if you win and top cut? I'm also deciding right now whether to run Raticate/Ariados or Vespiquen/Raichu/Flareon for states this weekend and the next. Any suggestions?
