First off, yay. Somebody who can spell Manny right. Anyways, wasting two bench spaces is absolutely horrible to stop one pokemon while not even developing your side (unless you're very lucky). It dies in two hits and a good GaG player (which is the only GaG player you really need to worry about) can easily counter mawile. So its not worth the wasted resources running it/playing it and using it.

I still think it is a pretty good counter to G&G but I see your point.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that muk isnt to good? How many decks are seriously running grass energy?

Mawile is such a poor counter to gallade. Seriously, its not even that hard to beat. Its just beating that and magmortar and blissey and lucario and bannette where the problem lies. But mawile is wasted deck space, resources, and a poor starter that folds to anything not named gallade in terms of usefullness.

Not entirely. If you get Mawile T1, then it MIGHT put a hold to Gallade's truckrolling. But otherwise, yeah, Mawile ain't great.

Mawile is slow. And remember your opponent also has the choice of just using sonic blade then bringing down everything. Mawile doesn't really help.

Indeed.

Also worth of note; Yamato copies failed.

That was something to wait for, we don't have pow and admin, that's why Magmortar/Claydol/Pachirisu didn't do well...we don't even know what was Yamato's deck, fight/fire energy doesn't clarify anything.

Seems very strange to me that nobody copied the japanese national champ deck that Tego mentioned on the 'gym.

Well, I meant a FULL copy, because Claydol/Pachi/Magmortar DID work (2 Finals Spots, 1 Senior, 1 Master aint bad), but the ones also including a Firestarter flunked.

Which is too late because then you can flip a grand 1 prize, while spending an energy discard for retreating and a trainer/supporter getting Mawile, at which point Gallade can already be charged up.

So the Gallade player is going to consistently have a fully charged and ready to go Gallade by turn 3? I find that highly unlikely. mawile should be able to flip at the very least two prizes but more likely 3-4.

Papi/Manny: How is Mawile bad against G&G? It drastically reduces Gallade Psychic cut and is resistant to Gardy. It's really not that hard to find room for 1 Mawile to counter the most popular deck in the format. You're not wasting to many resources to get it out since Roseanne's research can get it and the energy to retreat whatever you ahve active. Most decks now also run Pachirisu so you can just get Mawile as one of the three basics with CFF then retreat next turn.

Papi is gonna make my point...

Double Rainbow Energy. Scramble Energy. Multi Energy. In order of importance.

IMO, Grass will see more play than Scramble. Muk w/Crobat IMO is Broken. Can kill Gallade, and Hurt anything Grass (sceptile, butterfree, tangrowth, beedrill). I think it is a note worthy card.
