States Meta

Good on paper. Somebody (Aburame Yuki I think) tried it and set it didn't work very well.

@carlitosbob

I can see how that can work. The consitant confusion and poison in cobination with you doing 70 and healing works well. I would suggest takeing out the Hypno, or if it isn't already at 1-1 lowering it to 1-1. Then add in Spritombs to make up for your slow start, and adding to your disruption. That should make it very consistant.

I am currently working on a deck in order to counter the moajorty of the meta that is basicaly lots of 2-2 lines of cards that can work well against most of the meta. Further more, since each tech can be countered I made sure that at least one of the other techs can counter my oppents counter(s) counter.

^Isn't that the idea of HoPe? I think people have been experimenting around with some different ideas; I've heard it's a tough deck to play.
@carlitosbob... that's really not that great of a deck. It does okay, but won't stand up to many good builds of many decks.

the main downside to using muk was it's 2x weakness to psychic and only 100hp. But sludge drag did it's thing wonderfully once they were out of warp energy

My predictions are that people in general will be a little too afraid to abandon their old school, consistent Luxchomp/Vilegar deck, just to spend all of their money on 4x Lostgar and explore the lost worls option, especially since SP already has the opportunity to outspeed the monstrosity of Lost World. IMO this is how the meta will look (Decks ranked by number of wins):

1. Luxchomp (It's plain good, and has A LOT of users)
2. Dialgachomp (People will realize that the easily obtainable DGX's pokebody kicks ass)
3. Old school Vilegar (Consistent, and has a great SP matchup)
4. Lostgar/MewGar - variance (Some great players will attempt this, and they will succeed!)
5. Gyarados (Struggles against LostGar and trainerlocks, meaning it will do worse than usual)
6. Sablock (This deck has a great matchup against pretty much anything, but it's unconventional style makes it a not favoured choice among the pokemon players. Thus leaving it at 6th.

HoPe started as an anti-meta, though it isn't played that much anymore. The format now is so much wider that it is tough to cover every single little deck within 60 cards. Also, being a former player of HoPe, it sometimes had speed problems.

HoPe pre-rotation was a combination of the following:
Mr. Mime MT
Staraptor FB Lv.X
Blaziken FB Lv.X
Honchkrow G
Mewtwo Lv.X
Shuppet PL
Banette PL
Pokeom Contest Hall
Stuntank G
Now it doesn't have Mr. Mime so it is less effective.

u might have a better chance getting Dewgong SV or Omastar MD back into the meta. sad to say, but since lots of people tech in a Blaziken FB into their decks, it's unlikely to get Kingdra back into the meta. =/

As far as countering Gengar [Prime and SF\AR], would a deck that uses lines of Dialga G lvl.X, Umbreon UD, and Mightyena LA, work well.

The You could use Umbreon to attack for the first part of the game, then switch to Dialga G and Deafin lock so they can't play any Stadiums when you are high in the Lost Zone count.

Mightyena could be used for Regigiagas maches and assist a bit in SP match ups.

Dialga G could also be used for an E-belted hit on Gyrados for your first 30 then use a Devoluter TM, to knock out the Magikarp. This would would also still send the karp the the discard instead of their hand incase of Rescue energy; since it was an effect not damage.

Your Machamp Match up would be hard, and your SP match ups will be Diffcult.

You could take out the Mighyena and put in a 2-1-2-1 Dusknoir[Damage Even\Night Spin] line, this should help you more your Machamp match ups and your SP match ups as the Night Spin is deadly to the SP who rarely have 3 energy attached due to E-Gain. Then with a Dusknoir Lv.x in play while your oppnet is under Trainer\Stadium lock can be a deadly spread to benched techs, and damaged poke's. This will do an amazing [W|E-belt\W|out]
50\30 to the active and 20 to all benched each turn.

I prob. will be playing this deck or a varient of it at states at States.

Now the hardest part of makeing a rouge deck.....What to name it?

Gyarados and Luxchomp will be the top two most played imo. Theyve been getting tons of cities wins so far. Lost world (Whatever its supposed to be called) could be good if its as good as people say.
