What are you talking about? Having a thread where people post saying, "I want such-and-such to be my Pokemon."

For example, "I want Happiny to be my Pokemon!" Next person posts, "nO i WaNt HaPpInY!?!!1111"

It's better to let us have our own favorite Pokemon, rather than 'claiming' them. Besides, what happens when someone picks the same Pokemon? Then we get into spam, people not being happy, and flame wars. That doesn't sound like too much fun to me. :/

I do believe there was a thread with exactly that purpose that was made ages ago... I think I had to lock it because someone revived it.

Needless to say, however, it promotes little discussional value. Though, of course, if there was a way to make one that did have some kind of discussional value, perhaps it'd have a chance. *Shrugs* The reasons TofU listed are even further reasons it's not a good idea.

Also concerning what TofU said; maybe if people could be more mature about it if the pokemon they like is already claimed by someone else. But for some reason, i dont see that happening.

Axel, you can do these kind of things in the Game Corner, but I doubt that it would pick up.

I was the one who started it....but it didn't take off like the one on SPPF (I claimed Shinx).
I might re-start it again, if people show intrest in it.

It's a decent idea, as long at there are rules that the members have to abide by

(Example: You get 3 claims and only 6 members can claim a specific Pokemon).
