I make it to the Pokemon Tower and see many people weeping over their friends...well, time to go faint some Pokemon!
I find Matripa standing there as I get to the top of the stairs. A few steps closer and he notices me. He seems to be getting a hold of himself. Like...one side is clearly winning over the other. It's relieving but at the same time, I am terrified of what that other side might do. As usual it challenges me to a battle and I digress.
Lefty took out the Pidgeotto and Gyarados, like I need to mention.
Pidgey annihilated Exeggcute.
Balboa fell Kadabra and Charmeleon.
Simple.
He falls down the stairs and I fall up some. As I ascend, an eery fog covers my figure. I was in the heart of the Pokemon Tower.
I wonder through and see a shadow come towards me. It was a Ghastly. A level 16 that I catch pretty easily. I might consider leveling it up but, we'll see.
After slapping the possessive spirit out of some of the trainers I arrive where Team Rocket are keeping Dr. fuji. Unfortunately, Pidgey dies in the conflict and his soul is put to rest. Dr. Fuji comforts me and we travel back to his house, where, he gives me his pokeflute.
With this, i can now catch a Snorlax and get the Super Rod.
The Snorlax fight could have been worse. Caught it 4 Great Balls and had to paralyze it, but I got it. I also fight a few more trainers down south until I got the Super Rod.
Its first catch: Route 6 - Poliwhirl (I didn't encounter a wild Pokemon in the grass before, this was why.)
I was extatic that I got a Poliwhirl on my first try, I quickly skip to Cerulean and get my hands on a Jynx!
