Writing Swordsmen of Eternity (Ch. 3 is up!)

RE: Swordsmen of Eternity (Ch. 2 is up!)

Only two people died :(

But yeah, the next chapter should be in a while, all depends on how this strep lasts.

Ch. 3: Screams Within

Sahina opened her eyes again, and found herself lying on a bed in the hospital. “Where am I?” she wondered.

Another bed was next to hers and she glanced over to see who it was, and to her surprise, it was Kaito’s mom, Nina! The pieces started to come together and she remembered what happened the last time she was conscious. She tried to get up, but the pain where she was shot became amplified. “AHH! What is that…?” she said, turning her head to get a better look. A doctor was giving her a shot in the place where she was shot.

She felt her body feeling lightweight, but the pain slowly went away. The doctor moved over to Nina’s bed and did the same, but Nina was still asleep. The doctor returned to Sahina and patted her on the shoulder. “Hmm…looks like you’re doing better. The pain will still be there for a few more days, but most of it should be gone. Unfortunately, because you and your friend tried to escape the law, you’ll have to be sent to jail. Or well, have a trial of course” he said, looking at the other note on his sheet of paper. “It also looks like you killed a person, but we unarmed you of your weapons and have evidence, so you’ll definitely be found guilty, but your friend Nina here might have a chance to go back home and live a normal life.”

“No…this isn’t fair! What kind of silly business do you run here!” she shouted, but the doctor turned around and stuck up his middle finger to show his disgust for her. He turned back around and exited the room.

Sergio and Gale were training in the weight room. The lights were lit as brightly as possible, because when one is taken over by the beast, its vision becomes darker, but with the light, it’s almost blinding.

Gale was instructing Sergio to use his beast abilities without being in the beast form itself. This was possible because the beast is in there with the powers, all the user has to do is separate the beast and the powers, and that user is set.

Sergio focused on an object, but was having trouble actually using the powers. All he had to do is think of a real place and it would appear there. This is an extremely deadly ability, but unfortunately, the beast has it. Sergio failed to do this, but Gale showed him how to do it, and Sergio did it after a few more tries.

After the lesson, Gale decided to send him on his first mission. “Look, I know this is all happening sort of quickly, but I know you’re ready. I have taught you well and what you know should be enough for this easy mission” he said. Sergio nodded and listened closely. “Ok, this girl named Sahina has been captured by SOD. She’s in the hospital right now, but she should be able to move. Get her out somehow and I’ll be waiting here for you. I’ll use my abilities to teleport you there. Good luck!” Gale focused on Sergio and closed his eyes and seconds later, Sergio found himself in the hospital room.

Sergio saw two ladies both in a bed. “Now…which one of you are Sahina?” he said loud enough for both to hear, but Nina was asleep anyways. Sahina looked up from her bed.

“I am. Why?”

“Get out of the bed, come on!” Sergio said loudly. A nurse entered the room and saw the odd looking man. She pressed a small button on her uniform which tells the doctor to come. “Hurry!” Sergio said.

Sahina got herself out of bed and sort of limped her way over to Sergio. The doctor came through the doors and saw the two vigilantes. “Who are you?” the doctor said, moving his hands towards the weapon he had strapped to his pants.

Sergio focused on the weapon and thought of the weight room. Suddenly, the weapon disappeared. Then, he turned around and focused on the needle on the table and thought of the doctors head. The needle disappeared and Sergio turned around to see that the doctor fell over with part of the needle sticking out of his head, the rest lodged into his brain. He focused on Sahina and thought of the weight room and she disappeared. Many footsteps could be heard from outside the doors. Sergio’s adrenaline grew greatly. He focused on himself and thought of the weight room once more.

The next time Sergio opened his eyes, he found himself in the weight room with Sahina and Gale standing by his side, but Sahina was hugging Gale. Sergio was extremely confused and looked at the two with a puzzled look. “Alright, fill me in now. Why did I have to save her?”

Gale turned to Sergio. “She’s part of the resistance that I’m in. It’s called The Red Resistance. But to keep us on the down low, we usually call ourselves RR. I ordered her to go to my wife and save her. My wife is a great healer and she could travel with you if you wanted, but then Sahina got captured. Let’s ditch that idea anyways” he said.

“Uhh…Gale…me and Nina were captured together…” she said with a guilty look on her face.

“WHAT?! So she was in the hospital with you? Why didn’t you tell him to save her too?!” Gale screamed and his expression showed he was extremely frustrated.

“No no, it’s my fault. I teleported her here without informing her. We were tight on time. And when I walked by her…I sensed her aura was weak. I think she was going to die anyways” Sergio replied, trying to take the blame away from Sahina.

“I do believe I haven’t been honest with you Sergio. I never told you why you need to do it, but I feel like I have to now” Gale said. “I’ve been training you so you can be part of the resistance and travel with Sahina to CE, Chaos Eternity land. The name says it all, right? But that’s wrong, I need you to go over there so you can talk to my friend Atlantis. Tell him you know me and he’ll tell you what you need to know. I would do this by myself, but I have my own issues to deal with…” Gale said, and in a flash, he disappeared.

---

Gale re-appeared standing next to Kaito. “Calm yourself son. Don’t overuse your strength. I need you to go to SOD and rip through their base. You can do that, right? Come on, you’ll have fun destroying things” Gale whispered in Kaito’s ear.

Kaito turned around and went face to face with his dad. “Yeah, I’ll do it” he smirked. “Some of the guys here taught me how to use these ‘abilities’ so I think I’m pretty fit for battle.”

“Good, because you’re going right now and just so you know, there is an extremely high chance you’re not going to make it out alive.”

“You’re making it seem like you’re sending me to my death” Kaito laughed. Kaito waved to his father and teleported himself to SOD base headquarters.

“Have fun dying.”

---

Kaito found himself standing in front of the jail which Kaito assumed was the base. His assumption was correct. Kaito didn’t just start to blow everything up, but rather approached the situation intelligently.

He entered through the entrance of the jail and went up to the receptionist. “Where is the warden’s room? This is urgent matters” he told her, but she had no information about the warden currently. “I guess we’ll have to do this the hard way!” Kaito focused on her head as if he was trying to enter her memories, but that was exactly what he was trying to do.

Receptionist’s Memories (5 minutes before Kaito came) :

“Sir, there seems to be intruders in the weight room. You should go deal with it” the receptionist said, handing the warden the keys.

“Thank you and I’ll deal with it. Do they have any weapons?” he asked.

“From the camera’s angle, it seems like there is a small knife on the floor, but it seems harmless” she replied.

The warden left the room and the receptionist continued to do her work until Kaito came in…

End of Receptionist’s Memories

Kaito finished reading her memories so she was of no use to him anymore. He moved his middle and index finger in a quick motion and the receptionist’s neck broke. It wasn’t magic, he used his telekinesis to dislocate and break it.

He continued his way down to the all which Sergio and Gale walked into earlier that day. The door to the weight room, which was Kaito’s destination, was locked. “I guess I’ll have to do this the hard way” Kaito groaned as he focused on the door. The door slowly rusted and was easy enough to break. Kaito used his mind to change the chemical composition of the door.

Kaito punched the door down and the pieces of it flew into the interior of the weight room, nearly knocking down Sahina.

He entered the room and glanced at his surroundings, searching for his target. His eyes locked onto a large man with keys hanging out of his pocket. “So warden, I heard you like fighting” Kaito chuckled.

“I’ve always been prepared for the ones like you” the warden exclaimed as he pulled out a small pistol which was strapped onto his pants. “Meet your fate.” He pulled the trigger numerous times and all the bullets had struck Kaito.

Kaito fell to the floor in pain, his eyesight was failing, and he became extremely dizzy. Before he fell completely unconscious, he noticed another man lying on the floor with bullet wounds. “This wasn’t supposed to happen like this” he muttered and fell unconscious.

Sahina stood quietly against the wall, which she was commanded to do by the warden. “You’re not one of them…” he said as he held up the gun to her head. “You’re just troubled, wrong time wrong place so to say.” He gridded his teeth and grinned. “You can’t beat guns, girl. But don’t you worry, this won’t hurt for long.”

So, what do you all think? I left you guys with a need to want to know what happens next. I know Kaito seems a little overpowered and learned everything quite quickly, but it'll be explained next chapter. Just wanted to clear that up if you got confused. Though, the thing that indicated why he knew all this has already happened, but if you can't figure it out, I'll say it in the next chapter.
