the stragaty/about

tangela and interviewer's questions can get energys out of my deck, energy retrieval and super rod can get some energy out of discard (rod also can get out some lost pokes). Meganium prime and energy switch will move around the energy so there is not as much wait to draw/need for energy. Great ball and pokmeon communication will help get out just who i need. The serperior and cherrim will heal me (cherrim only active poke on my turn, serp all mine between turns). The lickilicky and tangrowth are the main hitters, lick can do 10 per energy to any of opponents Pokémon and tang 20 per energy to defending Pokémon.
the other Pokémon can do good damadge also so i do not have to soley rely on tang/lick. The tornaduses... i don't know i got them and wanted to use 'em, they can deal good damadge then move an energy, probaly be the first taken out.

so, stragaty is straight forward, build up tangrowth/likilicky with energy then kill. my Mag and Serp can deal the damadge when and if needed. If i retreat, the tang/lick has worst cost (4/3).

the idea is solid, mechanics are not bad but the deck is missing that somthing(s).

i've seen some decks like this idea wise, but i have not seen one like this, after i've been thinking about this i would add another royal heal serperior or some more super rods. any help on this would be great.

You can cut the line down of Meganium to a 2-2-2 instead of a 3-2-1. Stacking isn't the best idea. Same with the Serperior line. Try to get some rare candies to get out the stage 2 evolutions quicker.

yeah, i was thinking of putting some candies in it. any idea how to counter the x2 fire weakness that all the grass have, because i know it is a problem that i should worry about (if at least a little).

If you want to counter fire weakness, use the HGSS metapod.

His Poke-body removes weakness from all active grass-pokemon

also, try to find room for a cryoganal (NV 32) and 2 water energies.

most fire types are weak to water (cryo) and the NV32 has ice shard, which has 70 power when attacking fighting types.

I know that, I'm just trying to give him another reason to play it, so he doesn't see it as a single use card.

i foregot all about hgss metapod and that crygonal makes sense. so before i edit the list up top, here is what i'm thinkin' of how to change it:
-1 chikorita
-1 snivy
-1 grass energy
-2 Tornadus?
-2 potion?

+1 Serperior (BW royal heal)
+1 Meganium prime
+1 HGSS metapod
+1 caterpie
+1 crygonal NV32
+2 water energy

It might be a good idea to set up your lines like so. 3-2 Tangrowth. It makes it easier to read. The great thing about {G} is that there is so much support pokemon out there. You can consider vileplume, bellosom, vespiquen, and a must, sunflora. I would go with vileplume and sunflora. Because of vileplume, serperior is unneeded and you can run bellosom instead. Try not to use pyramid lines. (3-2-1) If it's an attacker, depending on how important, hourglass lines are the best. (4-2-3, 3-1-3). If it's a support pokemon, thinner hourglass lines are good. (3-1-2) You always want 3 basics, for prize issues and catcher threats. Usually only one stage 1 is needed because you can rare candy into them, but it's nice to have a backup. 2 Stage 2's are needed to get them out easier. If it's an attacker, you want more insure a constant supply. However, Vileplume messes things up a little. Usually the Vileplume line itself is 3-0-2 or 3-1-2. If you're running bellosom, I always like a 3-2-2 line with 1 bellosom. Lickilicky is probably not needed. First, it doesn't go well with the sunflora engine. Second, it takes 4-5 energy to really be effective. I can think of a {G} pokemon that does essentially the same thing for no energy. That's right, yanmega prime. They're only about $5 right now, so you're in luck. Another plus is that it's weak to lightning, not fire. It's also the most energy conservant pokemon out there, allowing you to focus your energy on Tangrowth. This is the list I would use:
Pokemon: 32
3-3 Tangrowth
3-3 Yanmega
2-2 Sunflora
3-2-2 Vileplume
1 Bellosom
3-2-2 Meganium
1 Cleffa/Pichu/Virizion

Trainers: 17
4 Pokemon Collector (3 if you choose pichu)
4 Pokemon Communication
3 Rare candy
3 PONT
3 Cheren/Sage's Training

Energy: 11
10 {G}

If you're pressed for space, the first thing I would do is drop the Meganium. It's not too essential. Other options to consider are lilligant. If you do, victini is a good choice as well. Another option is Roserade. Lmk if you're interested in that and I'll go into more detail about it. Keep in mind that tangrowth's second attack is actually good, so you can use it sometimes. If you read this whole thing, then it was worth the time.

ok, thanks this all is good help but one thing, what is pont, i have not been able to look at some newer trains lately

PONT: Professor Oak's New Theory

Anyway to the changes:
-1 Chickorita
-1 Snivy
-2 Potion

+1 Meganium
+1 Serperior
+2 Communication (You have alot of Pokemon and these should be maxed out in any deck anyway)

Hope I helped...

I won't lie PokemonJoe, that sample list is very pokemon heavy. Honestly you can easily scale that down and get rid of the junk.

Yanmega Prime may have a weakness to {L} instead of {R} but the only competitive {R} deck that see's any play is Reshplosion, which can Blue Flare Yanmega Prime regardless. There is very little the OP can do to counter {R} decks unless you want to include a direct counter but doing so would require you to drop quite a few cards to make space for one (with this particular deck Suicune & Entei Legend or even Samurott would be good). Metapod does nothing but forces the Reshiplosion or any other Reshiram deck to use Blue Flare to OHKO Tangrowth which they have no problems doing, the best thing you can do is just take the auto-loss and just make sure your deck is consistent against everything else.

Onto the list. As PokemonJoe said; Lickilicky is horrible and Pyramid lines are a no-no. If you want maximum efficiency then you need to increase the amount of the important cards you play to ensure you can get them out. To save alot of time i'll just give you a little sample list

Pokemon: 18
3-3 Tangrowth CL
3-2-2 Meganium Prime
2-2 Sunflora HGSS
1 Cleffa

T/S/S:
4 Pokemon Communication
3 Max Potion
4 Sage's Training

Energy:
11 {G}
2 Double Colorless Energy

Serperior and Cherrim were taking up too much space for very little gain What you want is a way to heal alot of damage counters from your pokemon at once: Max Potion is your anwser to that. It's a Trainer-Item which removes all damage counters from one of your pokemon at the cost of discarding all the energy from that Pokémon. Don't like the "energy discarding" part, no problems, i left Meganium Prime in there to allow you to move all the {G} energy on it to another pokemon to allow you to drop Max Potion, heal the pokemon and move all the {G} energy back onto it. Sunflora is essentially a Luxury Ball (Stormfront) for your {G} Pokemon which really helps to set up benched techs/attackers.

ok, this is all good help. the only point for the lick is that it could hit bench but yeah it's useless and i see how much the consistency can be improved
