Hi, first time posting a deck list.... I'm gearing this toward Standard Competitive

This is currently my favorite deck, which I've been tweaking, down to this current iteration:

Pokémon: 8
  • 2 Fomantis (SUM) #14
  • 2 Lurantis-GX (SUM) #15
  • 2 Tauros-GX (SUM) #100
  • 2 Tapu Lele-GX (GRI) #60, #137
Trainers: 36

> Stadiums:

  • 2 Forest of Giant Plants
> Supporters:
  • 1 Delinquent
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 2 N
  • 2 Pokémon Center Lady
  • 4 Professor Kukui
  • 2 Team Flare Grunt
  • 2 Wally
> Items:
  • 4 Professors Letter
  • 3 Switch
  • 2 Trainer's Mail
  • 4 VS Seeker
  • 2 Ultra Ball
> Tools:
  • 2 Choice Band
  • 2 Poison Barb
Energy: 16
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 12 Grass Energy

Tapu Lele-GX: I originally kept Shaymin-EX in this deck, but it always sucks when that is your only basic Pokémon at the start of the game. It's all about drawing cards. Tapu Lele GX does that when you play it to the bench - You can pick the supporter you want, rather than hope that it is one of the next few cards from a Shaymin draw. And, if you start with Tapu Lele GX as your only basic Pokémon, you're still good to go, becuase he is a powerhouse, like a grass version of Yveltal-EX. I have no intention of using the GX move - That's for Tauros or Lurantis! (Hence, only Grass and DCE energy in this deck)

Taurus-GX is there as a Revenge Wall. Allows me to build up Lurantis-GX. Get some energy on Taurus-GX, and you only need 2 (or a DCE) and your opponent is either afraid to hit you, becauase you hit back at a minimum the amount of damage you have, so the harder Taurus gets hit, the harder he hits back. At the same time, dealing at mimimum 60 damage.

Lurantis-GX: Still my favorite GX from the S&M series. This deck actually started as a copy of my Lurantis-GX/Shiinotic deck, and modified with SM2. There are SO many ways to build up from Fomantis:
  • Ultra ball - discard 2 grass energy to get your Lurantis. First attack as Lurantis you can retrieve them from discard pile, and BAM you have your 3 energy
  • Wally: Evolve directly from a Lurantis in your deck
  • Tapu Lele: Use one to draw Wally.
  • Forest of Giant Plants
I went with Kukui over Hau or Tierno because the 1 less card is worth the 20 extra damage when you really need it in a pinch.

So, that's my deck.... Any thoughts/comments/suggestions?

Thank you!

In my opinion, you need to play sycamores, there will often be times where you want to discard more energy or not have dead hands. This will also help you hit cards you need in combos as well as let you set up faster than other decks.

I honestly think that the regular promo lurantis would work nice on here. It boost grass attacks by 10 damage. (this could also stack up nicely as well)
Also way to many grass energies. You could take two out in place of that promo Lurantis. I also dont recomend Wally in this deck since its only an 1 stage evo. You can put in more fomanis in in replacement that.
