Judging by our combined records, not really. Haha, that's just a joke (if anyone thought taking me seriously was a good idea). We had some rough patches but we're getting back up there.
Deus: Nightmare Autarch said:making a single deck that can beat all eight of the gyms would be almost impossible - indeed, a deck that has favorable matchups against most decks might have an unfavorable matchup against one or two of the others - and given how there are eight gyms, a wide spectrum of decks is possible.
Right, it is very hard to beat all of the leaders, and it's supposed to be. Just like a regular tournament, you'll play against a lot of different decks. The truly good players with decks that are teched to an extent (or just very consistent) are the ones who end up coming out on top. No deck in the format (at least, none of the metagame ones) are a total autoloss to a deck. We let people re-challenge the gyms, so maybe they take a different strategy into the next game, or they get luckier the second time.

This is just the first time we've done this, and there are kinks we do have to work out. I don't think it's unreasonable, but if this turns out to be a big problem, we'll adjust the rules for sure.
