TCG Strategy Guide

All of Platinum and Rising Rivals.

EDIT: Most of the combos stink....

e.g. Hippowdon with Flygon

IT is VERY easy to make fun of the descriptions on another note. Vibrava is the vibration Pokemon.

SO why do they tell you to combine Flygon with the big hippo?
Because they're both expensive, and they want money.
If you want to buy it, I don't think it's worth it for the strategies. If you want the Toxicroak G promo, than it's worth it.

A few of the strategys, like the one for Jirachi, are actually pretty good.

Because Hippo with Flygon makes Hippo have free retreat. ;]

The Toxi SP deck in there is surprisingly decent.

Wait...
You're calling an SP deck with 19 ENERGY decent?
The deck is terrible. All they did was combine a starter deck with Toxitank. I believe they also tell you to play Bertha's Warmth in the deck, no?

Hardly decent, if you ask me.
The guide is only worth buying if you want the promo, or, if you are new to the game.
For someone like me, who doesn't care for either, I wouldn't think of buying it.

I bought it so I could show it to the Juniors at my league if they ever wanted to see all the cards in Platinum or Rising Rivals.

I said it was decent, solely because of the decent combo to help beginners. While I agree, the Energy needs to be toned down, all they missed were a few key Trainers (Power Spray and RR). You have to admit, they have the basic framework right there, and it's about the only deck you'll find good with that Toxicroak G Promo. :F

Toxicroak g is the PEFECT counter to any deck using luxray gl (hint hint alot of sp decks are using luxray)

Yeah, the extra type is a godsend in the matchups where normal Toxicroak couldn't really touch them.

Everybody seems to be teching in luxray but no one seems to be running it on it's own except me. What does teh promo toxi do?

It has a Power that if you flip Heads, you can return it and all cards attached to it to your hand. His attack is {P}{C} and if the opponent knocked out a Pokemon during his/her last turn, the attack does 20+40 and the Defending Pokemon is Poisoned. It's kind-of like Cynthia's Feelings, but does damage and Poison instead of drawing.
