I've only started saving multiple colours and shades onto different layers and making a copy. It helps with experimenting and you can take more risks.

Looks much better. I like the addition of the pupil too. Keep it up!

150...layers... o _o . Have you tried using the pen tool? That will keep your lines crisp and easily editable...without 150 layers I: .
 
150 layers was my fault because I decided to do every piece separately. I did the Vaporeon above in only ten so clearly the problem of too many layers is now gone. :F
 
The style of this stuff is sweet! I'm actually making some stuff with the PS pen tool right now too. 150 layers is waaaay overkill. Honesty, each color should just be a layer. It's easily organized that way. But yeah, G-don & Vappy are sweet.
 
That Vaporeon is the bomb! Are you thinking of adding a background to it or moving onto something else?
