You should totaly link me to the votes.

I never thought Exadrill was that big of a problem, but thats probly because I run scarf Gardevoir.
This will really shift the way the metagame is played so that rain and sun will be the dominate weathers, with rain being the better of the two. I imagine that this vote will eventually lead to the other weathers (exept hail) being banned.

thanks for the link, and the Gardevoir I use is more of a revenge killer than a counter but it still can counter if you predict correctly.

It switches in on a set up move from almost any weather sweeper and copies the speed boost to combine with scarf. Now its faster than alot of threats like exadrill, venusuar, garchomp (before it got banned), non scarfed landorus, and really any thing else with an ability that can be used against itself. and since its got a scarf it doesnt really need to copy a speed boosting ablility to be fast.

I don't usually play hyperoffense which is why Excadrill was not really a problem for me. I play some defense and offense. I can do full stall, but I don't like that style as much. I do like using Swampert or Suicune on my teams so that also could contribute to why I didn't have issues with it. The Pokemon actually went with my team, not just in there strictly for Excadrill.

Another nice long post, well done my good sir. *golf claps*

yeah, Gardevoir wont be as useful as she used to without exadrill around, Im looking to replace her.

It could still be useful to deal with Chlorophyll sweeprrs. She has the same base speed as Venusaur so Scarf won+t be needed. But if Sawsbuck gives you trouble Choice scarf is still an option.

Meh, banning Excadrill really wasn't worth it imo. Quagsire nicely says hai to such rubish and trolls, same with Stockpile Gastrodon, and to make things in the least bit worse for Exca, you got prioirty WoW from the now-released DW Sableye. Oyah, for luls +2 X-Scissor from Excadrill is the only way to 2HKO Eviolite Tangela.
As for my opinion on Thundurus it is this: Although my experience with Thundurus is usually positive, I normally see him die far earlier then most Pokemon on my team. Even though Thundurus manages to cripple/take out atleast one Pokemon, he dies somehow to the next Pokemon out, and has problems with common Pokemon such as Nattorei and Heatran, only really being able to Taunt out Nattorei, whilst being stalled out just from it's steel typing. same with most Heatran. If it was my vote that counted I'd keep him OU. He isn't really gamebreaking and just because you have priority Nasty Plot/Sub (as most complaints I've seen) doesn't mean your the best/one of the most groundbreaking. On the support side of Thundurus, if your so worried about your sweeper getting paralyzed before it can do anything, get a clearic/Blissey/ Status Absorber/counterer. For a check, I've been finding Scrafty to be effective, running Shed Skin, but this is just a suggestion, reguardless, I haven't really had many problems with opposing Thundurus, being able to take them out fairly easily.

tl;dr version: Thundurus isn't as Uber as it seems imo

/my 5 cents

Should've been clear on sets >_< I was talking about supportive (HP Ice / Thunderbolt / Taunt / TWave)

Supportive set is good for a lead and stopping pokemon that have set up on you. The best set imo is the Taunt/Nasty Plot/Focus Blast/Thunder(bolt). The only way to stop it is by Focus Blast missing. You may think that Gliscor is a good counter but you just need to Taunt it and it won't be able to use Sub, Protect or SD and Ice Fang isn't doing that much to you so you get you NPs up and sweep.

I've always been a fan of Tbolt, Focus Blast, HP Ice, Nasty Plot. Very rarely would I go with Grass Knot because it only helps against Quagsire and the rare Swampert.

When did Excadrill get banned? I don't see him as much of a threat when I use Scrafty or Aerodactyl to Taunt or Drain Punch kill it. But I think this is due to the fact that it can out pace a fair portion of OU pokemon with Sand Rush and can be used as a Rapid Spinner while holding Air Balloon. I know its a big threat but if it gets out paced itself I doubt it can be a problem.

*Edit* I have a RMT in the Gen 5 Competitive Play topic. You all can find it listed as Stalling Abusers.

It only got banned a few days ago, though I didn't agree with the ban. Unfortunately its not just my thoughts that count. I can probably survive without it.

This post details what I think about Snow Warning even being considered as suspect.

I said why I think Snow Warning should be in the notable suspect list. Only if everything else gets banned and I hope that won't happen.

If all the weathers get banned I think we should stop using smogon tiers, because that would honestly take so much from the game.

I am in agreement with Sircubith. That is something I'd have to take up with Steadfast if it happened. If it does happen, our team will have its own list that would be similar to Smogon's, but without things we don't feel are broken.

Reguardless if Gen 5 goes weatherless or not, imo it doesn't matter, as weather was always either a running gimmick or for that extra little bit of damage before Gen 5.
