I'm super excited for Sonic 20. There's all kinds of possiblities. I hope they remake Oil Ocean from Sonic 2, I loved that level. Also, I want to see Metal Harbour and City Escape from SA2B remade, along with the Chao Garden!! What system do you guys think it'll come out on? Hopefully wii....I don't wanna miss out....

Yeah, SEGA said that they have 3 thingabobs in mind.

-A game that might be called Sonic Aniversary, for PS3 and 360 that plays the same as Sonic Unleashed Day Stages but with the best levels from all the old games. Sonic The Hedgehog-Sonic Adventure 2. If a chao garden doesn't show up in this game, I am going to be really ticked off.

-My bet is that they will release Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 as well

-And there is another Mario and Sonic game that is supposed to come out this year.

I'm stoked for 'Sonic Anniversary', STH4E1 was a disapointment (in my opinion.)So I might not get the 2nd, and so far, the Mario and Sonic games have been pretty lame.

Oh, and Zenith? I think that idea is great!

Aww Its for Xbox 360 and PS3. :( Why not for wii? Wouldn't Sega get more money selling it as a Wii game as well.

Okay. Starting tonight or tommorow, I'm gonna talk give a description of all 71 Sonic games, in order.

#1 Sonic The Hedgehog (June, 1991)

250px-Sonic1.png

Sonic The Hedgehog was released for the SEGA MEGA DRIVE/SEGA GENESIS in June, 1991.

This was the first game to feature SEGA's mascot Sonic The Hedgehog. The evil menace Dr. Ivo Robotnik started his first evil plot by capturing little animals on South Island and turned them into machines to start his robotic army for creating the ultimate utopia, Eggmanland! The only person who could stop him, was a blue hedgehog with red sneakers and was the fastest thing alive!

He ran, rolled, and jumped through 7 different zones to finally free the animals and stop Dr. Robotnik.

It looked like the ol' doc should have come up with something a little bit harder for our speedy hero.

This is the first game to feature rings, chaos emeralds, special stages, super sonic, badniks, trees, you get the idea.

There have been numerous remakes of this game for various systems such as, Xbox, DS, Ipod, and not to mention those Mega Collection games. Anyways, come back next time, where I talk about the second Sonic game released. Sonic The Hedgehog 8 bit, which is different than the original.

If it weren't for the mega collection I would have never played the full sonic the hedgehog game. But it was a great experience and I mean an awesome experience:D

#2 Sonic The Hedgehog 8-bit (December, 1991)

256px-8bitSonic1Box.png

This game was released for SEGA Game Gear and SEGA Master System a few months after the first one. The graphics for this game were 8-bits different compared to the 16-bit original.

150px-8bitSonic1Title.png

However, this game did feature some cool adjustments, such as the world map!

150px-Sonic01.jpg

The game had 6 zones with 3 acts in each of them. Two levels and one fight with Robotnik.

200px-8bitS1SkyBase1.png

Unfortunatley, the game also had some bad things to it:
-Each time you got hurt, you lost your rings and couldn't get them back!
-Chaos emeralds are found hidden in zones instead of special stages.
-Special stages don't really give you anything special.

The story to this game was: "Get the emeralds and stop Robotnik!"

Sooooooooo, yeah. That pretty much sums it up. Come back tommorow for a look at the next (game) released: SegaSonic Cosmo Fighter (I'm skipping Sonic Eraser because it was just a little puzzle game with Sonic's sprite in it.)

#3 SegaSonic Cosmo Fighter Galaxy Patrol (December, 1991)

200px-Segasoniccosmofighter.jpg

Okay, so this technically is a video game. "ahem!" SegaSonic Cosmo Fighter was an arcade type game. Basically you control Sonic in a birds-eye-view of his spaceship. You have to save Sonic's friends from robots using different weapon buttons and a boost button that the game provides. Once you get to the end, you fight Robotnik's ship and get a ship upgrade. WHOOOOOOO! Fun.

I felt lazy making this post, especially considering that eventually I'll have to make a post about the big games like Sonic Adventure and everything after. Eek! Come back next time for Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car! Another ride! Whoo!

#4 Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car (December, 1991)

256px-Waku_Sonic_Opening.png

Okay, this is kiddie ride where Sonic is a police officer who is protecting the streets from Dr. Robotnik. The game starts with Sonic talking, then he hops into his car and you control it through the city. After a while, you have to stop to let some Flickies go past. Fun! Then, as you keep driving, Dr. Robotnik appears and starts crashing into cars. You have to pull him over and beat him up until he runs away. If you aren't fast enough and don't beat him up, he runs away anyways. So it's a win-win game. YAY!! And then Sonic talks again. The end. Goodbye. Yippie. Hmmmm, I would love this game.

Sorry I was late on this post, but I was really tired yesterday and had to get some sleep. Anyways, I'll try making the next post today. Which is Sonic The Hedgehog 2! Finally a good game!

#5 Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (November, 1992)

250px-Sonic2-cover.jpg

The story of the game starts off at the ending of the first game. Robotnik escapes from Scrap Brain Zone and follows Sonic's airplane "The Tornado" to West Coast Island.

150px-Robotnik_28.png
150px-Tornado.jpg

On the island, Sonic meets a young fox named Miles Prower. (also known as Tails)

123px-Sonic_49.png
112px-Tails_1.png

Robotnik then turns all the animals on the island into badniks and steals the 7 chaos emeralds to create the Death Egg. A giant space platform in the form of Robotnik's head. Sonic and Tails team up to stop the dastardly doc from wreaking havoc!

141px-Tails_and_Sonic_6.png

They travel through 11 zones throughout the game.

So Sonic saves the day and stops the Death Egg. Or does he? Dun Dun Duuuuunnnn!

Oh! I almost forgot! This is the first game with Super Sonic and 3D Special Stages. Sonic turns into Super Sonic by getting 7 emeralds and 50 rings. He can only stay in his super form for a while though.

Well, that's all the time for today. (And time for me to get some shut eye.) Come back tommorow for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (8-bit)

This is my favourite of the three classic games. But woow, Wing Fortress is hard, I couldn't beat it. I also love Hill Top and Mystic Cave. And, of course, first game with Tails!! Yay!!

Yeah, I hated the final boss of the death egg. You could probably guess I was thrilled to find out it was the final boss of Sonic The Hedgehog 4 as well.

Sonic 2 is actually my least favorite of the main series Genesis games (1, 2, CD, 3 & K), but it's still a lot of fun.

I have to agree.Sonic 2 was also my least favorite of the three.(Unless you include Sonic & Knuckles and CD which makes it 5)

But then again,I never really bothered to play Sonic 2 much as I did Sonic 1 and 3,the levels felt drab compared to its previous and its successor installment.

Sorry I'm late for the next game, but I really don't have the time right now. I'll get on it soon though.

I would want the hidden chao eggs like in Sonic DX (I think). It would be cool if you could buy furniture in the Black Market as well, like a playground or stuff like that.

That would be cool! Okay, I am officially quitting those game thingamabobs because I am actually way to busy and it takes my laptop a VERY long time to load pictures on to my replies. So instead of going through the whole game, I'll just talk put up the name of the game, the boxart, a couple screenshots, the plot, and the release date. Sorry if you liked those but I really don't have the time. :(

#2: Sonic Eraser (June, 1991)

Eraser.jpg

Sonic Eraser was a puzzle game where you did some puzzle stuff and your Sonic would attack your opponent's Sonic. It really had nothing to do with Sonic except for his sprite was in it.

#3: Sonic The Hedghog 8-bit (December, 1991)

This game was released for the game gear. It was basically the same as the 16-bit game but with worse graphics, and different levels.
