While I like my Stall Teams I desided to try my hand at building a Rain Dance Uber Team. So lets get started.

front.png

Kyogre:?-Choice Scarf/Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
Nature: Timid +Spe/-ATK
EV's: 4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe
Attacks:
~Surf/Water Spout
~Thunder
~Ice Beam
~Hydro Pump

Kyogre holds sway in Ubers as one of the most potent Water-type pokemon thanks to the fact that it can use Drizzle to support diffrent Rain abilities such as Swift Swim, Rain Dish, Hydration and Dry Skin and boost the accuraccy of moves like Thunder and Hurricane. Surf, Water Spout and Hydro Pump hold place as three of Kyogres STAB attacks. Both Water Spout and Hydro Pump hold the highest power for water attacks and can deal heavy damage to pokemon like Blaziken, Excadrill, Heatran and Landorus. Thunder holds its place as a great way to cripple non-Ground type Water and Bulky Water-types like rival Kyogre and Suicune. Ice Beam wraps up this set since it holds as a way to check non-Steel, Fire, Water or Ice-type Dragons. Rayquaza takes x4 the normal damage and Zekrom takes x2. This makes for a great way to check them and ensure that they are weakened enough to deal with later.

Kyogre can be taken down by rival Kyogre using a Modest Nature and Choice Specs with Thunder or taken down by pokemon with a powerful Grass attack supported by Groudons Drough or Rayquazas Air Lock. Support from pokemon like Kingdra, Thundurus, Bronzong, Palkia and a pokemon like Jellicent or Lugia can help handle Kyogres checks and counters.

Palkia:?-Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid +Spe/-ATK
EV's: 4 DEF/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe
Attacks:
~Spacial Rend
~Surf
~Thunder
~Fire Blast

I dropped Rest-Talk Palkia and went with Scarf Palkia instead since it has a large amount of Special base power. Spacial Rend holds STAB on a fair amount of Dragon-types in Ubers and can get OHKOed thanks to the high chance of critical hits from Spacial Rend. Surf can take out Blaziken and Excadrill. Thunder hammers Kyogre hard and Fire Blast is incase of Drought. This set rounds out Palkias ability to function in the Rain and can be used to deal with Sun teams.

front.png

Bronzong:?-Light Clay/Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Careful +Sp. Def/-Sp. Atk
EV's: 248 HP/44 DEF/216 Sp. Def
Attacks:
~Light Screen
~Gyro Ball
~Protect/Stealth Rock
~Reflect

While not a fast pokemon Bronzong does have great DEF and Sp. Def to allow for it to use Light Screen and Reflect to full advantage to increase the Defences of all pokemon on the team. Gyro Ball is the only attacking move and can let Bronzong hit pokemon like Tyranitar and Weavile hard. Protect is here to keep it safe from Fire attacks, even when weakened by Rain they can still deal a fair ammount of Super Effective damage. While not enough to OHKO but still enough to 2HKO possibly 3HKO. Stealth Rock is also a good option as it allows for damage on pokemon switching in and lets Palkia abuse Dragon Tail.

Speed Boost Blaziken can get possible 2HKO Bronzong with Reflect and Rain in effect. Pokemon that can out pace it fast like Darkrai or even buffer its attacks like Gyarados or Salamence can provide valuble support to protect the Screen boosts.

Dialga:?-Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful +Sp. Def/-Sp. Atk
EV's: 252 HP/4 ATK/252 Sp. Def
Attacks:
~Bulk Up
~Rest
~Dragon Tail
~Sleep Talk

This is one of DEs favorite pokemon for his Uber Stall team. Dialga has the means needed to abuse its great Defence and Attack with Bulk Up and can abuse Bronzongs Stealth Rock with Dragon Tail. Rest is used as a way to recover HP and cure Burn and Paralasis. Sleep Talk lets Dialga use either Bulk Up or Dragon Tail at random but also has a chance of using Rest when a much needed damage attack could be needed. In all Dialga is one tough pokemon and can hold its own well against any pokemon.

front.png

Thundurus:M-Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Timid +Spe/-ATK
EV's: 4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe
Attacks:
~Nasty Plot
~Thunder
~Focus Blast
~Grass Knot/Dark Pulse

Thundurus is one of the badest Electric-types to be used in Ubers. When Nasty Plot is the obvious boosting attack. When moves like Thunder, Focus Blast and Dark Pulse are combined with the +2 Sp. Atk boost, Prankster and Life Orb they hit mega hard. Focus Blast can dish out a large ammount of damage to Dialga with max Sp. Def investment. Even Darkrai can't handle the power it deals out. Thunder can break Kyogre and other Water-types including Bulky ones. Dark Pulse can cripple Mewtwo and Lugia fast and dish out alot of neutral damage. This allows for a fast sweep in the Rain.

Thundurus can be checked by Excadrill and Blaziken with either Rock Slide and Stone Edge. This makes it priority to switch out in this case. Dialga and Bronzong both are resistent to Rock attacks and take a very small ammount of the damage from them for Thundurus.

Latios:M-Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid +Spe/-ATK
EV's: 4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe
Attacks:
~Draco Meteor
~Surf
~Thunder
~Trick/Psyshock

I descided to drop Arceus and bring in a hard hitting Special Base attacker. Latios provides some of the best coverage thanks to it combining its great Special Attack and Speed stats with Kyogres Drizzle to take out a fair amount of pokemon. Draco Meteor devistates non-Steel Dragon-types like Palkia and Zekrom. Surf takes care of Blaziken and Excadrill. Thunder dishes out heavy damage to Kyogre and Ho-Oh. Trick can be used to swap hold items or Psyshock can be used to dish out a ton of damage to Blissey and other Physically Defencive weak pokemon.

I don't play Ubers, but I doubt you'll need Grass Knot on Thundurus, if he's even viable in Ubers. What would you need it for? Gastrodon? I sincerely doubt he's Ubers material...

Oh, Groudon, I see...disregard this comment.

Kyogre should have Rain Dance as one of his moves since you're using Thunder. Thunder does not have the best accuracy, so with Rain Dance (and because at least one of your Pokemon should have it, considering this is a Rain Dance team), Thunder gets 100% accuracy. I recommend Kyogre holding Choice Scarf since he isn't very fast.

Also, If you plan on using Outrage for Palkia, then Palkia should hold a Persim Berry to get rid of the confused status after he uses it.

The rest of your team is good to go. ^_^

Kyogre has the Drizzle ability, which causes a permanent rainstorm. There is no need for Rain Dance.

I would go with Waterfall instead of Outrage, because getting locked into Outrage against a steel type sucks, since you can't switch out.

Never use a weather inducing move on a team that is Ubers. The weather can change just by a Pokemon being switched. It isn't worth it when your opponent can just stop the weather by bringing in a Pokemon.

Regarding the Palkia set comments you had, Persim Berry is not a good choice because Palkia can easily be KO'd with Dragon-type moves. Having Leftovers assists because it acts as a wall and sweeper at the same time. Walls shouldn't really have one time use items.

In regards to the team itself, I'd recommend putting Stealth Rock on Bronzong instead of Protect. Protect will waste one of the turns your dual screens are up. Since you appear to be using it for Dual Screens, Light Clay is the better option than Leftovers. Getting three additional turns of screens is far more beneficial in this case.

If you do take my advice and put Stealth Rock on Bronzong, you might want to try out Dragon Tail on Palkia. Your Palkia is slow anyway thus the priority part doesn't matter as much. This also lets you abuse Stealth Rock damage while dishing out damage. It also helps in case the opponent raises their stats.

Grass Knot is for Groudon, which is very common, Quagsire, and Gastrodon, which are less common.

Thanks everyone. I put a ton of thought into the team and it makes me proud that your all commenting on it.

*bump*

Ok I was thinking of adding either Choice Scarf/Specs Latios with Thunder or a Choice Specs/Life Orb Gengar with Thunder. What do you guys think?

I would go with Latios for this. It is more meant for Ubers than Gengar is. Its movepool is much better and can strike many Pokemon hard. Draco Meteor devastates many Pokemon when it is needed. I guess for a set Surf, Thunder, Draco Meteor, Trick / Psyshock. Surf will get boosted by the rain Kyogre brings. Trick would help against Pokemon like Bronzong or Giratina normal forme, as Trick doesn't work against Origin-Forme. Psyshock would be if you want to be able to hit Blissey very hard as it can deal vicious damage.

You're better off trading Jellicent and putting Dialga in. After that I'd recommend giving Dialga Bulk Up and giving a Choice Scarf to Palkia and give it a Timid Nature, 4 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, and 252 Spe with Spacial Rend or Draco Meteor / Thunder / Surf / Fire Blast (incase of sun) or Draco Mateor, or run a mix set with a Hasty Nature with 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe a Lustrous Orb, Surf / Aqua Tail or Outrage / Spacial Rend / Thunder. The reason why I say give Bulk Up to Dialga is because he can resist common Dragon moves, unlike Palkia (not resist, but take neutral damage). So far with Thundurus I'd keep it if it has been successful for you, although I'm not to sure how Thundurus fairs in Ubers. Just some advice for future Uber RMTs: it's a bit useless to list Pokemon that are unseen in the Ubers world, like your Lapras statement.

I need Jellicent as my buffer to Water attacks thanks to Water Absorb plus it also acts as my Fighting and Normal buffer. I ran Palkia because I needed this particular dragon for a reason.

Jellicent is awful in Ubers. Replace it or you will be going into matches with 5 Pokemon. Nothing uses Normal moves in ubers and very little uses water moves other than Palkia and Kyogre, both of which obliterate Jellicent with Thunder. Almost all of the fighting moves used in Ubers are just for the coverage with Shadow Ball or, in Darkrai's case, Dark Pulse, meaning Jellicent does literally nothing in Ubers.

Jellicent is terrible in Ubers as Dark Void had said, not only allowing for the pokemon he said above to come in and wreak havoc, but also attract the likes of Skymin, giving him a free sub, or a free kill. And Palkia is still a terrible Bulk Upper, go with Dialga, taking neutral damage, as well as having more resists and less common weaknesses.

What should I use then? Jellicents ability is vital and the only other option is running Swift Swim Kingra an then dropping Palikia for with Dialga.
