Terrakion/Garbodor

4-3 Garbodor
4 Terrakion

10 Fighting

4 Juniper
4 N
3 Cheren
2 Bianca

4 Exp. Share
4 Rescue Scarf

4 Pokemon Catcher
4 Switch
3 Heavy Ball
3 Ultra Ball
2 Tool Scrapper
2 Super Rod

Use the classic quad Terrakion strategy, adding in Garbodor to shut down all abilities. Garbodor is an amazing anti-meta card, shutting down such important abilities as Dynamotor, Dark Cloak, Dark Trance, Diving Draw, Dragon Call, Fight Song, and more. This deck should be able to completely dominate Zekeels and Darkrai/Hydreigon and have a pretty darn good Garchomp matchup, being easier to set up another Terrakion than another Garchomp thanks to their lack of Dragon Call and my Exp. Share.

Oh woops, I thought I took that out. Initially I was thinking I could use that to get Terrakions Land Crushing immediately, but then I realized that Retaliate would be doing 90 damage too :p So I guess this deck has 2 free spots, any suggestions?

Maybe Random Receiver? Also, take out one Tool Scrapper and have 2 Revives and 1 Super Rod. It's a pretty tight deck otherwise.

I really like this deck idea, simple yet very effective. Assuming you'd go with the NV Trubbish though right? I think Garbage Collection could be a seriously useful. I did initially think Emolga, but I'm on the fence about it.

Of course I am using the NVI Trubbish, given that I have to start with it I am presented with the opportunity to recycle a Supporter which is very good. I still can not decide what I want to put on those last 2 slots, I was thinking PlusPower but I feel like Tool Scrapper essentially does the same thing. Any more thoughts on the matter?

I thought about PlusPower, although I really don't like playing it with no Junk Arm. The only thing it'd primarily be useful for would be an Eviolite Darkrai, but Tool Scrapper already solves that problem, along with removing additional tools. What about Enhanced Hammer? Imagine how disruptive you could be with that and Garbotoxin. It could potentially swing any Garchomp Altaria match ups in your favour.

Hm yeah, I think I like the idea of Enhanced Hammer. I've noticed in testing that this deck has a little trouble setting up, any tips to help counteract that?

perfect deck for u'r 2 extra space mabey add 1 more trubbish and a fighting and i think u should use super rod of revive because rescue scarf can get back trubbish and garbage butrevive only trubbish

this deck has some flaws being that any deck can counter your ability lock by using tool scrapper and with as much hype as garbodor is getting i guarantee that almost every deck will tech in some tool scrappers

I suggested Emolga, but again I'm still unsure on whether it's needed.

Running four of both Rescue Scarf and Exp. Share will guarantee the best possible chance of that not happening. Not to mention with no Junk Arm, it seems unlikely that this should bother you a great deal and even if it does, Terrakion has a solid 130HP and only gives out the single prize card. I personally think Tool Scrapper is a staple especially in decks like Darkrai/Hydreigon, but I don't think that view is shared with most decklists I've seen only running the single copy, if that.

Thanks for the input guys. I've retooled the decklist in order to make it a bit more consistent, my original post has been updated. Any suggestions are welcome.

This is just my opinion but I think this deck runs better with a zebstrika nex line. It completes the garbodor lock and locks their item cards like catcher and scrapper. Then when zeb goes down you can hit with a retaliate. But this also requires the use of lightning energy. It really comes down to what you prefer.

If you're having problems setting up, have you considered bumping up the Heavy Ball to four? Searches Terrakion and Garbodor, so it's not a bad option to have. Just curious though, what made you take the Switch up to four?

4 Switch is because everything in this deck has 3-4 retreat and Catcher stall can ruin this deck.

I'll have to test it personally. I've played quite heavy retreat cost decks in the past in the form of Donphan Prime and Groudon and found 3 has worked fine. Not sure about the B&W format just yet though.
