The 2nd School thread!

Yeah I agreee with SS eastern coast had horrible weather but the past few weeks now have been hot.
Anyway I start school on September 2nd.

I have decided that I am happy about going back to school. I have also decided that I will work hard during classes but try to have fun out of them. This will be my study hard year I think. Maybe not.

I start Sept. 1st as a Junior (11th grade). I did already get my schedule from a friend who works with the guidance counselors and I have a seminar on the Cold War, followed by Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, then I have Advanced Placement Government and Polotics, and then I end my day with Economics.

I know, I am extremely satisfied with my schedule. Finally after two years of boring classes I get a decent semester. I got lucky and there was plenty of space for electives in my schedule.

Wait are you in high school or middle school? I'm in middle and we don't have electives. Only in high school we get electives?

What are the electives that you have?

I am in High School (11th grade so only 2 more years).

The way that my school is run, a student needs to complete 4 Math Classes, 3 Science Classes, 3 Social Studies Classes, and 4 English Classes, as well as a highly recommended 3 Spanish Classes. In my previous years I worked through all of those except for one science, and one English. That makes all of my schedule electives but two. I had to take 8 classes and I took:

Seminar on the Cold War
AP English
AP Government
Economics
---
Literature or Psychology
Chemistry
Calculus
Principles of Psychology

That makes AP English and Chemistry my two Non-Elective classes. The rest of the classes were taken by my choice.

That's mine up there. Surprisingly close to yours. I have about half my schedule as Electives, or stuff I don't need to graduate. It's a pretty fun schedule though...

dmaster out.

your school ONLY offers Spanish as a language? That really sucks, I hated the 2 years of Spanish I took.

Er...my mistake. We offer both Spanish and French, but French is such an incredibly unpopular class that only about ten kids out of our 1500 take it.

Then why do they bother paying a teacher 40k to teach it? I wish schools offered a better variety of languages, like Japanese or chinese. The usual old Euopean languages are boring.

I start in 4 days...

Anyways I had an otption last year between Arabic and French and I chose Arabic...I'm not switching this year.

They changed my schedule. Grrrrr...

But, on the positive side, I've got a study session with my best friend tomorrow for AP Chem. It's going to be a long day lolz.

dmaster out.

Bad news for me!! I start school tomorow! And since its half a day that means I wont be ending school at 2:00 pm but
I will be ending 11:00 am which means I still have tons of time or the beach sadly only the first couple of days are half
days =(

First official school day for me... it was terrible... seriously...
We got a lot of homework for Mathematics... and I do have Mathematics B and D (we've more versions of Mathematics, from A to D, A and C are more economic and B and D are more like physics and such)
The Chemistry teacher gave me a lot of homework and if we didn't make it, we got even more work... And previous year I never made my homework and didn't learn and still got 9's (about a A/B), and now they're expecting me to do my homework, it's useless in my view ._.
Oh yeah and I had ''religion'' today, it was GREAT, yeah not... I disproved the teacher many times, she didn't like that, so I had to shut my mouth... >_> what's wrong with the teachers nowadays...

I'm not scared to talk back to the teachers. I have done it many times before but yeah I still get in trouble as
usual. Pokequaza have fun with your homework your not gonns have time or the beach =(

I start college the day after Labor Day.I'm a little nervous because I have been home schooled all my life.
