I leave the computer with a puzzle solved, thinking, "when is bacon going to start a new round?" I come back to the computer seeing that the round has started, and ended, while I was gone.

Is that whale's mouth open, though, or is that just its belly? (I'm guessing belly because of lack of teeth and a tongue).
About the challenge; I don't think I ever said how anything was done, I just linked to the appropriate places. So yeah, try it yourself, have fun, whatever.

That is just the mouth of Clueless Whale, yeah. I had an original design that makes the closed mouth more obvious, but it's a slightly more complicated drawing (and if you couldn't tell my pictures are the very basics of pure simplicity...). But upon reflection it's probably the superior design so I'll use it from now on.
The numbers come from the weird words I used in the poem. Those horribly obscure words are, in fact, spelt wrong. Each word contains a letter that should not be there, and each letter corresponds to a number (a=1, b=2, etc). That then gives you 61636, which you add to the incomplete url to progress to the next part of the game.
...yeah that was kind of sneaky and cunning of me, think how disappointed I was when oyeah figured it out so quickly.
I'll have to be extra careful next round, as mods have an enormous advantage in being able to see any hidden links with the "full edit" ability. Members can actually do something like this too, but I don't think it's been used against me yet!

EDIT: Also a question! You know that site called er... pxyfdbgdnbnsl or something? The one that allows you to upload images and show them as really small urls? I'm considering using it instead of photobucket. The main problem with the bucket is that all my images have to be stored in a gallery that's accessable to anybody (so in a quiz like this they can see pictures that they have yet to reach), so I want to convert to something that doesn't have a gallery kind of feature.
New round will be up soon and it'll be a lot harder than the others. On a scale of 1 to 10, the difficulty of Round 8 will be infinity divided by 0.

I actually figured out the wrong letters, posted them in the chat, only for oyeah to come along like 3 seconds later already having converted them to numbers...
So yeah, would've gotten there anyways, don't think you're that good :O
