I came so late, now I'm worried that I'll be eliminated from the challenge.
The first thing that came to mine when you said 'bird' and 'hand' is the proverb 'a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush' but that's not going to get me anywhere because of the next hint, the game thing.
And I don't know much about the games that PP seems to have an interest in (things like Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus and possibly more I don't know about).

Ok guys, something came into my heada bout this and I just had to search it up:
In he legend of Zelda twilight princess, link calls a hawk by whistling into hawk grass. That's cool. In wind waker, he calls upon seagulls with a hypo pear. I particularly like wind waker HD! There are also loft wings in skyward sword, and they have something similar to hands I believe.
The bird in the ice climber game for the NES is called The Nitpicker, I'm not sure what it has to do with hands though.

Hmm, looking up mythical hand bird only showed me phoenix, which doesn't even have hands from memory. No idea what this word could be.

I bet it's got to do with something incredibly obscure.

There's a lot about flappy bird and iphones and madness...
Page 2 gives me hand-eye coordination and 'this rollicking game' (in reference to a different game)...
That's all I can be bothered to look for for now.

I saw the first two hints and was sure it was either Flappybird (which I hate with a passion) or Angry Birds (Which I dislike slightly less than Flappybird). But I guess not, I'll have to flap away. Also I heard the guy who created that game used bots to make it popular in the first place. I'm just glad he took it down.

I'd laugh if Eron got it in the very first post of the day with Blastoise and Prof P just sent us swirling, spiralling or helter-skeletering as if we were flying but we couldn't balance very well due to giant talons, fingers, stubs or wing bones about birds, video games (probably on Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony consoles) and everything to do with that. It's like he wanted to kill two birds with one stone, one being sending us on a journey of migration and the other.. I don't actually know the other one but it better try and include as many on-topic words as this post does (FLAP) without it being in a list, with words getting picked off like a pecking order.

Jesus Christ keeper you are so good at this game, graceful as a kargarok. Actually kargaroks are extremely bashful and aggressive, akin to an eagle or vulture, or indeed a Braviary, Rufflet, Mandibuzz or Vullaby. I would compare you more to Ridley or Meta Ridley, just misunderstood. Actually there's nothing misunderstood about you, you were deemed a huge threat a while ago now, soaring miles ahead of the competition. Lately, you were even in a flock!
