In that case I can always not ask and fix it myself. Asking is the more natural thing to do though because I wouldn't want to hurt my team.
Like you said, if it's not your problem then there should be no harm in fixing it.
EDIT: If it isn't done tomorrow by someone else I'll fix it, it's late and I'm due to be up in 6 hours.
