Naxi, Mathas, and Jabber quickly went to work bringing as many cute animals as possible for Athena's approval. As expected, she liked almost all of them. Fearing how prolific Naxi was at finding animals, Jabber decided to summon a friend to help him, and together they were both able to score the most points to win the round.
"Well, that was quite a lot of fun!" Athena beamed. "And while you all were out gathering animals, I had the time necessary to prepare the next challenge for you, as well. The fourth round will consist of a scavenger hunt! Look forward to receiving your first clue tomorrow evening. In the meantime, have a well-deserved break."

For this third round, challengers will compete in a scavenger hunt, following clues to lead them to the end of the round, and racing the other challengers to see who gets there first.

For this third round, challengers will compete in a scavenger hunt, following clues to lead them to the end of the round, and racing the other challengers to see who gets there first.
Instructions:
- Each challenger will be participating in a racing scavenger hunt to follow clues that lead them to various posts around the forums. At the end, instructions are given on what to PM me to to receive the best score.
- Players can use Scrolls of Summon Magical Assistant (SoSMA) to receive additional clues. Please see the SoSMA section below for more details.
- In order to give everyone a fair chance at starting, the First Clue will be posted on Friday, February 3rd at 9:00pm Central European Time. This is the same as 8:00pm GMT, 3:00pm EST, 12:00pm (noon) PST, or approximately 9 hours from the time of this post. So, try and be here if you want to start your hunt as soon as possible.
- Ideally, the game will end once everyone submits what they find at the end of the last clue location, but just in case, I am also giving a timed deadline. If you do not solve all the clues by the end of the timed deadline, you may PM the last clue you reached to at least receive a participation point.
- The timed deadline is Tuesday, February 7th at 5:00pm Central European Time. That is the same as 4:00pm GMT, 11:00am Eastern US time, 8:00am Pacific US time, or approximately 5 hours past the time of this post in your own time zone.
- Once all players have submitted, or once the timed deadline has been reached, points will be awarded as follows:
- The player who submits the final answers first gains 3 points.
- The player who submits the final answers second gains 2 points.
- The player who submits the final answers last gains 1 points.
- Any player who does not reach the end but submits their last-reached clue before the timed deadline gains 1 point for participation.
- If any player does not submit a last-reached clue before the timed deadline, which effectively means they are choosing not to participate in the round, they will receive -1 point.
- Total point tallies will be shared at the beginning of the next round and will continue throughout the challenge.
Scroll of Summon Magical Assistant
(Each of you started with a number of Scrolls of Magical Assistant, a magic item that can be used to give you various advantages throughout the game. Each time a new use of the item is revealed, it will be posted about in the Update (like this section here and now), and also added to the OP for easy reference. Please Note: Each Scroll is single use only! Once you use a Scroll for any purpose it is used up and your total number of scrolls goes down by one. If you ever want to know how many scrolls you currently have available at any given point, feel free to ask.)
SoSMA: Gain Another Clue!: If you are stumped on a particular clue, you may PM me to spend 1 SoSMA and gain another clue. Tell me you're spending a SoSMA and copy the clue that you're stumped on and I'll give you much more blunt and direct clue about how to move on (though I won't just flat out link you to it, you'll still have to find it yourself). You may use as many SoSMA as you like in this way.

Overall Information About The Final Challenge:
- The Final Challenge will contain 7 rounds total.
- Each round will see competitors competing in a mini-challenge where they will earn a number of points based on their success in that round compared to the other players.
- Refusal to participate in a particular round will earn that challenger a negative point.
- Once all rounds have been completed, the challenger with the most points will be crowned the winner.
- In the event of a tie at the end of the seventh round, an additional round will be played to serve as a tie-breaker between the tied parties.

I just completed the hunt, and it was very fun. I highly recommend you do it yourself (it's not very long, and is an enjoyable use of your time), but if you don't want to do it or are stuck, I'm open to helping you if you PM me.
That late challenger would be me. I don't think I'll be able to finish this challenge. Life has finally caught up to me and it's smacking me in the face. Sickness, failing classes, music competitions, etc. I don't think I'll have time to finish the Challenge.
