Since SQUARE 11 is obviously correct, I will be risking my life by going toward SQUARE 7 (If this is correct, I may know the rest of the entire path :D) 23 squares was a major clue.

At one point or another during this challenge, is there the possibility that we will end up entering a square that we've entered before? or will each square in the path be entered exactly once each?

I think it's the former because you said there were 23 squares total in the path.

Yeah. You would have to, otherwise it would be impossible haha.

Anyways, this challenge is VERY straightforward. It's pretty much to just wait for TDL to get better.

I think that the designated order needs to come back for this to speed up. Right now, no one wants to guess because they don't want to die this early.
