I grinned like a loon when this package arrived this morning -- I had a feeling he would come before the weekend, so I parked myself near the front door and waited. Plush? Plush barely covers just how much awesome this package contains.

Measuring in at an almighty 3'1", I give you, the almighty Golden Karp.
Just. Look at him? Look at him.
Look at him.
Don't believe he's that big? Well take a look at
this and
this. It should be noted I'm 6'0". Here have
this too for good measure.
Gigi kindly demonstrates just how terrifyingly huge this guy is too.
He fits into my nest like a dream. I already have a billion and one pillows and cushions because I'm a bird like that and I enjoy my comfort given this is a relaxation spot as well as a work zone, and with just a bit of shuffling he settles in just so.
He's squishy, he's comfy, he's very golden, and very adorable. Worth every penny to middle because wow these would've been horrifying to take home without a car let alone get to the post office to ship. Gin is a goddess amongst middlemen.
In addition to getting a giant gorgeous karp in the mail, I also have spent the past day or two cleaning up and reorganising two collections I have: my Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem(s), and a small tribute spot for some of my favourite Pokebirds.
All reorganised nicely and dusted like I should’ve done a few eons ago, but was too broken to do so. So many pieces in this collection are sister items to Gin’s, such as my lotto pearly variant Reshiram from the keitai second chance entries run in 2011, and my White Kyurem lotto figure from last year. It’s nice to have them all together now and displayed nicely.
Gotta love the angry frozen chickens. All my Kyurems grumpily stare down at me saying 'work harder'.
Reshiram side.
Zekrom + Kyurem side.
It’s also nice to have room for smaller pieces I’m still missing or might come across, but I still am overjoyed that I can say I got 99% of the collection in person while traveling in Japan during movie summers. And it just looks so nice all displayed properly now.
Pearly lotto Reshiram says raaargh.
Now to the birdies~
Some pieces are in storage, so I don’t have any of my Moltres/Zapdos/Articuno pieces here asides from the tiny rare keshimon metal figures, but I do have all my baby Mukkuru and Mamepato birds plus evolutions. And blublus. My small pidgey family selection stuff all lives over with my Hawkeye figures, so, they're chilling over elsewhere.
