Oh, lol. Sorry then I misread or something ... probably because I'm a bit tired, it's 4:24 in the morning here =)

Then it's ok ;) My mistake, your post makes perfect sense when I read it again.

Yeah, many people are demanding a Supporting Oscar for Heath. He should get it, as I've always said. Bale and Eckhart are superb in the movie as well, but don't take Ledger out of the movie for it. All the performances were great, especially Heath. Also, I don't like anybody comparing this movie to any other superhero movie (esp. Spider Man 3), so don't. :[

I also saw this movie again this weekend. :D

dmaster out.

Yes, now it's beaten another record and smashed Pirates of the Caribbean to the ground. :]

dmaster out.

Yay the movie people get rich off of American stupidity and get to upgrade thier mansions instead of 300 mill getting sent to help starving people around the world (or hell, even at home) or improve America's education system. Let's give a round of applause people.

^Well aren't you a barrel of fun? Seriosuly, the movie was insanley awesome and deserved to break that record. although where the money goes is rather sad, it's going to happen if the movie is epic or lame, so enjoy the epicness while you can.

I fail to see how this is any different than us buying into Pokemon games for the past....10 years? There's nothing wrong with producing entertainment for people to enjoy.

Hey, however you want to dumb the masses down. I never said anything about pokemon, now did I?

I would like to question your intelligence after that post sir. So by creating a very good movie that has an actual plot and solid acting instead of the normal terrible movies that plague out theaters, this dumbs down American's intelligence how? You would be surprised by what people will be willing to do and pay for entertainment.

This isn't a good way to instill intelligent discussional value in a thread. I was like this a little while ago and threads became locked because of it. I'm trying to be more accepting of other people's opinions, but this one is difficult to accept.

^Yes it is. It gets people motivated because someone is attacking thier favorite thingy. I don't even see where I stated anything of an opinion. Its pretty common knowledge that entertainment is a way to distract people from the important issues at hand.

Same way tv does. People in this thread have posted seeing this 3-4 times. Most of them young kids.
1) Movies=tv=the new recreational sports for America.
2) Watching 6 hours of tv isn't very healthy, espically for a young child, right? So how is going to see the same movie over and over again any different?
This really has nothing to do with the movie, but it being a great movie and making so much money so fast is just sickening when you don't see people giving away thier money (hey, do you actually gain anything out of entertainment? laughs and stories, but thats it) to charity or other sources that could actually use the money for something worthwhile. Yes, I do realize that this is a business and that there are jobs on the line and those jobs do require to hit a certain amount before they have made a good amount, but 300 million is defniately too much. And yes, I do realize what people are willing to do for entertainment. Pay-per-view, sporting events, and even live shows all cost a bundle of money. And those who do them all make millions.....actually, maybe I should learn how to sing so I can get a record deal and make millions, so I really don't have to work a day in my life.

It can also start flame wars. For example, the Internet Browser thread got locked because of your unnecessary posts claiming the uselessness of the thread.

Actually, what you said abotut entertainment is complete BS. Atleast for music. Alot of bands try and raise awareness of what is going on, not hamper the masses from thinking about it. but whatever. You can sit in your cave reading about the wars and be so much more intellignet then the masses. I'm going to see this awesome movie in theaters again.

It'd be pretty cool if HL got an award for his role.

Lol you sound beyond ignorant. I'm human buddy. I know about alot of bands doing this and that. But what do teens listen to? Most of them, at least from my area, listen to hip-hop/rap. I'm sure we can both agree that both of the genres are crap and teach nothing but unmoral things. Its true that alot of bands raise awareness for certain things (alot of anti-war songs and things about women's rights and abuse, ect.) but how many of those bands are on popular stations (92 pro fm, ect.)? And I do have a social life. I do go to the movies on occation and do normal stuff, so I don't get where you get I live in a cave and stuff. I'm rarely home at all.

^I got that because you made it sound like speding money on anything is like evil  Most teens where I live listen to Offspring, Rise Against, Rage Against the Machine, Atreyu etc which are into raising awareness. Although there is a high percent that do listen to rap. Hip-hop CAn be allright (I've heard a few I don't mind) but I'll agree that I can't see the point in the likes of Soulja Boy and other rap.

You never stated how it decreases intelligence. Personally I have seen this movie four times, and I am also nineteen years old, so by your logic I must be stupid for wasting my money on this? I must ask now what exactly have you done for the starving children of Africa? My guess is nothing. Do not be a hypocrite. Call me cruel but I could careless for them. I careless because I do not know them, I have never met them so why exactly should I care?

What do you gain for giving money to say the Red Cross? You get to say "yeah I did that" but you gain no return. With entertainment the return is always there. This is the difference. Is it fair or right? Of course not, but the basis in life is that it is not fair.

Rap is disgusting music that should not exist for the most part. You assume every rap song is about the same thing, when in reality it is not. Do not be ignorant yourself.

I don't see why you would need to see it more then once (even if it is a good movie) unless your gf or whatever hasn't seen it and wants to or another reason like. 4 times is a good 41 dollars down the drain. Your guess is absolutely wrong. I started the hunger thread to raise awareness to this problem (though I'm sure the majority of people know about it) and me and my family have donated thousands to the homeless and poor in our area. Why exactly should you care? Thats so idiotic its not even funny. 1) Your human (I assume). Its in your nature to care. Maybe your pride gets in your head and you think your vastly surperior to everyone, but your not and they deserve a fighting chance, right? 2) Who knows what they could do. Maybe one will find a cure for cancer or aids or another global issue. But whoops, he didn't have what every basic human needs and died. If you didn't know Abe Lincoln or Jesus personally (and this is just an example) and they needed some scrap of food, even food you're going to throw you, your just going to let them die? Thats just sick.

Are you freaking kidding? I didn't realize that saving lives is such a waste of money. Please tell me you don't donate blood, because if you did, you would know you're not getting anything (besides some juice and cookies) out of it and "all your doing" is saving 3 lives. So, if you had a choice to go watch a movie or go down the your local food bank and help feed, say, your starving friends, you would go waste your money and go see a movie then help save thier lives?

I agree with the whole rap is disgusting part, but I have to put up with listening to the more popular rap crap cause of my gf every day, so don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about. Some stuff that I haven't heard probly does have a good undertone (just as some rock and blues and whatever has negative drawbacks to it) but do you hear it that much on the radio? Not really.

Tankian (btw Scars On Broadway>Serj): Where do you live, because it sounds like its my perfect area to live in? :D

^You make a very good point. The only reason I don't donate money and give blood is because I live in a poor family and I'm not exactly sure if my blood is donation material. I'm also very afraid of those huge needles they use to withdraw the blood.
