It's the Fall Finale. If you're a Doctor Who fan, and you're not excited for it, shame on you.

dmaster out.

Finished 2nd and 3rd season. Just watch the episodes of the library and...

River is going to die! And is probably today!

D: That episode (The Angels Take Manhattan) was the best episode in ages, the story is very well written out, but I didn't particularly like the graveyard and afterword, they were a bit cliche, but a lot of Doctor Who episodes are like that. It was very, very good.

I haven't shed a tear this hard since I watched the ending to Forrest Gump, Angels in Manhattan was THAT good. With the upcoming Christmas Special hinting towards the Doctor's new Companion being Oswin Oswald I knew that Amy and Rory were going to conclude in some way or another. It's a shame that their fate was tied to the Weeping Angels.

Much like how the Daleks chased down the Doctor throughout the series, the Weeping Angels would've chased Amy and Rory down to the ends of the universe where they wouldn't be able to avoid their unfortunate fate. To think I took the Angels for granted at first but yeah I was dead wrong.

At first I thought that the Doctor and his wife River Song would travel together afterwards but as River put it, "There's only enough room for one psychopath on the TARDiS." Still it was a very good episode and I got to admit I thought it was funny when the Statue of Liberty in NYC came up close in personal at the beginning of the episode. Reminds me of watching Ghostbusters II again...

How exactly is Amy and Rory getting killed by the Weeping Angels a terrible ending? Stephen Moffat was obviously setting the series up for the Doctor's next companion being Oswin Oswald who apparently survived the Dalek Asylum from the season premiere, thus creating a plot hole involving her becoming human again after being transformed into a Dalek.

It's kinda weird cause I would've wanted to see Amy, Rory, and River's reaction to seeing The Master alive again before they ended the season in just 5 episodes before the Christmas Special. I got a feeling that eventually once the Doctor regenerates again that River Song is going to become a widow and take over the series to where it ends up being like Torchwood.

Also since River Song can time travel without the TARDiS, what exactly would happen to the TARDiS after the Doctor dies for good? Put it up for auction with Doc Brown's DeLorean DMC-12 by creating some kind of funny crossover with Back to the Future? There was a confirmed crossover with Doctor Who and Star Trek: Next Generation.

I wasn't too amused while watching the episode because it felt like it was another one of those "Rory is going to die but come alive at the end" episodes. So when it actually did end, I'm not sure if I was surprised or not after seeing what happened. Is this really the end? It feels weird. If this really is their end, then I'm kinda disappointed since it throws away future opportunities for past companions to meet up. It's good that they're finally moving on though. I was getting tired of seeing that crew. I'm looking forward to see what the new companion has in store.

Technically Rory died a total of 3 times in that episode >_>, he was doomed to die the moment he saw the tombstone for the first time.
Anyway, I just re watched the episode (The Angels Take Manhattan) and found many errors regarding the angels physics.
1. The baby in the park, yes it can move in broad daylight with hundreds of people looking
2. Statue of Liberty, yep, the biggest statue in Manhattan wasn't even noticed and some how made it to Winter Quay and then completely stopped when Amy and Rory turned around away from it.
3. The babies in the Cellar, oh lawd, the worst one that ruins the episode Blink. When the babies first stand up there is one that is looking at another from behind, its eyes are in clear view and it can still move. Kills Blink because then the Angels there would be able to move :/
4. Graveyard #2 There is a point where (after Amy and Rory are from ages ago) the Doctor and River (Melody) are NOT facing the last Angel in Manhattan.
5. The locked up angel, the Angel should've been able to break the shackles, and was clearly not in anyone's sight yet did nothing.

This might be wrong, seeing as Angels often do look at each other, but there were a lot of errors :/

1. The baby in the park, yes it can move in broad daylight with hundreds of people looking. Yeah, I wondered that, too.
2. Statue of Liberty, yep, the biggest statue in Manhattan wasn't even noticed and some how made it to Winter Quay and then completely stopped when Amy and Rory turned around away from it. Exactly. It was like that part from Ghostbusters 2.
3. The babies in the Cellar, oh lawd, the worst one that ruins the episode Blink. When the babies first stand up there is one that is looking at another from behind, its eyes are in clear view and it can still move. Kills Blink because then the Angels there would be able to move :/ Not until the lights go out. Then they can move and such, even when being looked at.
4. Graveyard #2 There is a point where (after Amy and Rory are from ages ago) the Doctor and River (Melody) are NOT facing the last Angel in Manhattan. Fail. That is all I have to say.
5. The locked up angel, the Angel should've been able to break the shackles, and was clearly not in anyone's sight yet did nothing. It was too weak to break them. Hence the fact that River was not sent back in time when it grabbed her.

This might be wrong, seeing as Angels often do look at each other, but there were a lot of errors :/

Check spoiler for thoughts.

Hmm, the Angel (at the graveyard), could easily have attacked the doctor and River, hence my disappointment.
The Doctor actually said that the Angel WAS strong enough to send her back in time. And he wondered why it hadn't.
The cellar still ruins blink though.

I did type that up at 11 though so I am really tired.

In the cellar is when BOTH are looking. Just the one which was looked at would be quantum-lock but the other could have move to get the other one to stop the quantum-lock.

It's already been confirmed that the Doctor's next companion is Jenna-Louise Coleman a.k.a. Oswin Oswald:

I am going to deduce the rest of the season and I am going to give how I would like to make an episode:

6th episode meets Oswin
7th episode takes Oswin to future
8th episode takes Oswin to the past
9th and 10th episode an exciting 2-part episode
11th A nomal episode
12-13 Another 2-part episode to finish the season.

I would like a three-part episode that has the angels and the cybermen in the episode.
It starts that Oswin and the Doctor travel back to the 21st century (my presumably moment when Oswin lived as all companions of the new doctor are from the 21st) and they discover a quartet of angels in London. The Doctor tells Oswin about them and they try to trick the angels. On the end of the first episode, an angel sends Oswin back to the 18th century before the Doctor tricked the angels. Oswin finds a lot of cybermen in the place.
In second episode Oswin try to escape from the cybermen while the Doctor is trying to locate her. Oswin found lots of angels there too.
She finds herself in a little town on England and finds lots of people missing. The Doctor finally found where was Oswin and goes to the little town. When he gets there the town was made ashes.
The Doctor start to look for Oswin when he found some angels. The Doctor gets away to the outskirts of the town where he finds Oswin. She tells the Doctor what has happened and that he was late 2 months. With the whole town disappearing the Doctor most stop the angels and the cybermen.

Oh and now I have a favourite episode:
The Rise of The Cybermen/The Age of Steel and The Army of Ghost/Doomsday

Not sure If anyone knew about it but this confirmation kinda killed Doctor Who for me even though it's old news from 2 years ago. I still can't believe I didn't look into this awhile back when I did. Guess I was busy at the time...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2010/oct/12/doctor-who-immortal-reveals-bbc

It doesn't make any sense why BBC would get rid of Time Lords being able to regenerate only 12 times before they die. Everything that has a beginning has an end including the Time Lords themselves unless they are immortal dieties that was never addressed in the old episodes of Doctor Who.

At least it's not as bad as what Sega did to Sonic the Hedgehog over the years, what Marvel did to Spider-Man in One More Day, or the DC Comics Reboot. I hate it when companies behind famous franchises feel it's okay to screw up the source material in a way that offends people who have stuck alongside those franchises for years, but when it comes to appeasing specific age demographics I guess it can't be helped.

The 2012 Doctor Who Christmas Special is coming up soon to kickstart the new season with the 11th Doctor and his new companion that he last met in his last run in with the Daleks.

If you watch the Official Trailer for the new 2012 Christmas Special, it explains it. Before they show the trailer, Matt Smith who plays the Doctor confirms that even though Oswin and his new companion are played by the same actress they aren't the same character in the Doctor Who series. I don't get it either, just go along with it. >_>

For all we know, the Doctor could've used the TARDiS to pick up one of Oswin's descendants or relatives that looks just like her and goes from there which is what I'm lead to believe on the whole thing anyway. I'd love to see a return of the Master cause we haven't seen him since the 10th Doctor was around. I guess I still like Doctor Who even though it's already been confirmed that the Doctor is an immortal Time Lord. Acting like the Time War involving the Daleks with the destruction of Gallifrey never happened? Real smooth BBC, real smooth...

So much for keeping the history of the entire series intact, it's obvious that BBC is trying to cater Doctor Who fans to a specific age demographic because they don't care that much about the fans who've stuck with the series since the 1960's apparently. Eventually probably nobody is going to care about what happens with the Doctor's relationship with River Song but I doubt that will happen I guess. Has anyone checked out the recent Doctor Who Comics with the Star Trek: Next Generation crossovers? Pretty neat eh?

How can people don't matter River? That is the best character of Doctor Who (after Jack). My sister said something like that once, the companion is supposed to be named Klara (or with C at the beginning that doesn't matter). It could be he meets her and travel for a bit until she leaves the Doctor and gets stuck and the Assylum. I am waiting for this episode.

River Song is still an important character in the series, she did marry the Doctor especially after using up all her regeneration forms just to save his life and I find it rather ironic that they married after when we find out that the Doctor's wife was really the TARDiS instead of River Song.

As for the Asylum, you mean the Dalek Asylum that was destroyed before Amy and Rory Pond died correct? I felt really bad for Oswin when it was revealed that she was turned into a Dalek, kinda like how the Cybermen turn people into Cybermen. The good thing about that episode was that the Daleks lost their memory of their grudge against the Doctor, Davros I'm not entirely sure though.
