Okay I know that this is mainly a Pokemon forum but I just had to do one of these. The reason I'm doing this thread is because I have recently have been watching the first season of Yu-gi-oh! Then once I got to the Battle City finals (Season 2) I began to question the effects of the three Egyptian God Cards and if these are the real effects. Before I bore you anymore let's get started.
The first thing that was stated is in order to summon any of these monsters you need to tribute three monsters.
Obelisk the Tormentor
In the anime it states that by tributing two monster's you can destroy all of your opponets monsters and inflict 4000 points of damage to your opponet.
Slifer the Sky Dragon
When this card was introduced in the anime it had two abillites. The first being that it's attack and defense were the amount of cards in the players hand *1000. The next ability is Slifer can decrease a summoned monster's ATK or DEF by 2000 depending on the monster's position and destroy the monster if either reached 0.
The Winged Dragon of Ra
Now to the monster who actually has the name of an Egyptian God(Although in different languages Slifer and Obelisk do have names of Egyptian Gods).
First the ATK and DEF of this card are the combined total of the three monsters used to summon it.
Now for the other effects which I got form Yu-gi-oh Wika
Pay all but 1 of your Life Points and Tribute any amount of monsters you control to increase the ATK and DEF of this card by the amount of Life Points paid and the combined sum of the ATK and DEF of all the Tributed monsters. By discarding 1 "De-Fusion" from your hand or sending it to the Graveyard while it is face-down, you gain Life Points equal to the total ATK of this card, and this card’s ATK and DEF both become 0; if you use this effect after you attacked with this card, the attack is negated.
Pay 1000 Life Points. Until the End Phase, any monster that battles with this card is immediately destroyed by this card's effect without applying damage calculation.
This might have bored you but now you know the anime effects of the three Egyptian God Cards. I hope someone from Konami (the makers of the cards) saw this and can tell me if the effects are true.
What are your thoughts on these cards and thier effects.
