So along side Pokemon, The Elder Scrolls is one of my favorite gaming series' ever.

The games are absolutely amazing, simple as that. I've played Arena, a little Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, and (at least MW, OB, and SK, since they are the most playable in this day and age) they are all fantastic games that you can put hundreds and hundreds of hours into, and I know I have.

And I don't want to sound like I'm advertising, but iff you ever want to check out a great, community-oriented Elder Scrolls forum, check out the UESP forums, to discuss all things Elder Scrolls. ^-^ I'm a regular on there, too!

So whether you just start playing the games or you've been a fan for years, this thread is where you can discuss The Elder Scrolls to your heart's desire. :D

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Skyrim. Is. The. Greatest.
With all the patches, I've rekindled my love for it, and am now making the most underdeveloped OP Dovahkiin to walk Tamriel. Level 35 and a half and I am a Nightingale, the Harbinger, and the Listener, and I haven't even infiltrated the Thalmer Embassy. My Orc has, and he's only Level 21. But he is just OP.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Funny you posted this because I just bought Skyrim's OST yesterday.

Skyrim is the only game I played, but it is awesome. I forget my level but I grinded my Enchanting level to 100 and smithing to 90 to make Dadric swords and bows that one shot most enemies on Master. I have not even chosen between the Empire or the Rebels yet. :p

RE: The Elder Scrolls

You guys should try the Legendary difficulty that just came out recently. Bit of a challenge. Not to mention if you're playing the Dawnguard or Dragonborn DLC.

I enjoyed Skyrim, although it's the only Elder Scrolls game I've played. Bethesda makes some of the best games to lose yourself in, although I can hardly say I've put in as many hours as some of my friends have. And now that they're finished with Skyrim, I'm definitely looking forward to The Elder Scrolls online.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

My friend has a hacked account. All Deadric, and too OP; infinite stamina, majicka, and health, plus all skill trees are level 100.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Ha! Funny! I love TES and I've been a fan since 2002. I've played them all but mostly it's been Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.
Absolutely love to delve into the lore of the game and hey! Frost Mage I know you...erh well sort of. I'm Ysmir on UESP. ;-)

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Since Bethesda HQ is in Bethesda,MD, I have a friend whose father works there.
10% discount :D

RE: The Elder Scrolls

So, Solitude has a deathwish. I spent so much time smithing orcish armor elements and grinding for my housekarl, only to give him my orcish gauntlets and helmet in a trade-off for my newly made 20% fortifying two-handed ebony gauntlets and 21% fortifying archery ebony helmet. After 7 hours of grinding for this shit, I get arrested, and it gets taken from me.
My.
Brand.
New.
Ebony.
Armor.
In Solitude.
In a chest.
Locked with a Master Lock.
Well, Solitude, you've pissed me off so much, I'd be honored to kill all of your guards for you. It'll be my pleasure.

Pretty sure it's legal to kill them all if they do that.

Yeah I'm sure they wouldn't mind a bit.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Naw, I went to go there and do that...
Had a plan that didn't involve a dragon...
I should've...
I thought, "meh, I'll pay it off." Nope...
Ended up taking another jail sentence.
But I'm slowly killing them. One by one. While sneaking. And when I finish the storyline, nothing will stand in my way.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

So who here has been playing for awhile? I see a lot of y'all came around Skyrim or Oblivion anyone before that?

What aspect do you guys love the most about TES? For me it would have to be the Lore of the series and discussing theories with other fans. Overall it's fun but sometimes it can get crazy especially when someone thinks they have the story/lore figured out but hey what's lore debating without some sort of challenge? Hahaha.

*Hopefully I am able to revive this thread, such a waste for it to go into forum obscurity*

RE: The Elder Scrolls

Is anyone else finding problems with their skill trees in Skyrim? Particularly Smithing? I finally got it to Level 60 so I can smith all my crap, then remembered that none of my perks seem to work.

I recently played Skyrim and I decided to make an archer character (channeling Legolas).

I think the game is awesome! It's the first elder scrolls game I've played and I love it.
Some things specifically would have to be
that you can pick almost everything up
You can read every book, so they are actually functioning parts of the world
Giant spiders. I hate spiders, but that's why I love to kill them.
The character customisation is great
And the weapons are fun.

Next I want to play as a mage. Specifically I mean just focus on magic.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

I'm not having any problems with my perks, Haunted. Then again, my character is still early-game, so I might not be the best reference for bugs/glitches.

Good luck! Mages are difficult to use

Mages aren't that hard. Honestly just get Enchanting up and disenchant something that gives Spell Reduction on whatever school of your choice (even give two enchantments if you're that high) and get the percentage to atleast 100% and you have infinite magicka. The only actual good school is Destruction though, and you can only really use one spell (dual wield) to do any sort of good damage.

RE: The Elder Scrolls

True. I guess I'm biased in that way towards mages. I have a Level 8 Nord mage in Studded Armor and whatnot.
She's weak (I say she because I jokingly said real men don't use magic).

:p ehh, mage is ok, it's on the level of Werewolf and Vampire Lord in my opinion, it looks cool, but just isn't really good. I prefer Warrior and Burglar all the way. I say isn't really good because I've got some Lvl 81 doods and werewolf/vampire lord die too easy.
