The Elder Scrolls Discussion

So, I'm starting to worry. I haven't played Skyrim for nearly a week because I'm still so worked up and excited for Last of Us that I keep losing interest in games. Does anyone know how to easily get through Blackreach? Since I need to go there next on my Orc's profile.
Also, since I'm too lazy to find this out myself, will choosing to talk to Arniegr after talking to Paarthunax do some thing different, like some thing will be affected differently later on, than if you talk to Elbern?

No super-easy way to get through Blackreach but this site is your friend, I've frequented it for about 5 years? Likely longer.

I was watching through some of the E3 2013 Trailers and it looks like there's going to be an MMO for Elder Scrolls being released called "The Elder Scrolls Online" that's slated for release in Spring 2014 for the PS4 and XBox One.

Oh yes, TES:O as it is called has been known about for over a year now (Almost 2). At first, it was going to be an MMORPG for PC only but now they've done a smart thing by porting it to multiple platforms (and to wider audiences). This is great for several reasons....one people get to play TES and a new adventure. Two if the game has set canon we'll find out loads of lore and fill in gaps for the 2nd Era (The game takes place 1,000 years before Skyrim). Three, Zenimax is technically making this game not Bethesda which allows Beth to focus on their other titles like Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6. Finally, the game allows you to traverse all of Tamriel which is something fans haven't had a chance to do since what? Arena? Daggerfall?

Not true. PC actually gets the exclusive maybe for consoles exclusive but Xbox already owned PS3 as far as that goes with the Skyrim DLCs. Not to get off topic somewhat but if that is true for consoles, that PS4 gets exclusive beta testing, it just further shows that PS4 may dominate this generation. However, the Xbox fanboy in me simply thinks it's more of a necessity to test out the game on Sony's hardware first given the past infamous problems Skyrim and to a lesser extent Oblivion had with the PS3.

Holy fudging shit... Are you serious?

I've heard It will be in nothing like the regular Elder Scrolls, but rather like a full MMO (controls, combat, gameplay, etc)

Yeah, it is a real thing. I signed up for Beta testing awhile back, but that was the day my internet went down, so I never heard anything back from Bethesda.

I'm skeptical of it too. However, I do hope there is established lore (That happens regardless of players) for the 2nd era in these games. It could help bridge the gap between the 2nd and 3rd eras. There is a lot we don't know about the 2nd Era. Lore makes Lore buffs like me very happy.

The Beta sign up is asking to select a system (Mac, PC, XBone, PS4). Interesting to see a MMO game for game consoles as well...

So I got Skyrim'd today. I've recently began to play as my Orc's character again, and it seemed like a common occurence was glitching today. Three random encounters in the same cell at once, then not even a minute later, same thing (and Iola almost died)!
Oh, and did I mention that real-time sucks?
Time to go marry Skylyga from Shor's Stone since I'm Thane of Riften now. *Walks into Redbelly Mine while half of the town is in there*
*Spiders spawn*
*Walks out, leaving everybody in there for death*

Thanks, Skyrim. Now I have to fight through Mzinchelft to get Grimsever for Mjoll. I appreciate it. I'm only Level 25, ya know.

Ok I play Skyrim and I am a highborn elf, and I caught the vampire disease and I am lvl.4 vampire and I don't know how to feed at this lvl. because everyone is trying to kill you at the sight of you and I try to sneak with the embrace of shadows and enter the house but suddenly the people wake up and start trying to kill me..... anyone has any suggestion on how to feed at this lvl of vampirism

find a vigilant of stendarr.

But wait, weren't the vigilants of stendarr those super pissed guys who devote their lifes to kill vam... ohhhhhh. got it. niice.

Ehem. I hear giants also can feed vampires; you just have to get close to them.

Thanks for the help, after I did that I did the bloodline quest and now I am a vampire lord, villagers don't try to kill you, they are afraid :3,
@professorlight: you should try being a vampire lord it rocks, bats and draining projectiles and a new perk tree is a great addition :3 (just my opinion)

Oh, I don't have dawnguard. Vampires were never my cup of tea, really. To each it's own, right?
Besides, between striking from the shadows, disappearing and downing enemies without them knowing where I am (theoretically... F*** omniscient AI) I already am something better than a vampire.

I'M BATMAN

Seriously, it's awesome, whirlwind sprint + arrows = a camp of dead enemies / no damage. The math checks.

Eh, I wouldn't say VL is better than Lycan. But that's just me.
Then again, at level 53, you're too OP for any of that. I've slain multiple bandit camps w/o any damage. I conquered- No, I dominated Skuldafn.
Three Deathlords and a Dragon? Pfft. Puh-lease.
