Skyrim wasn't complete. Sure, it is playable, but to call it a completed game is pushing it.

If you've played TES before Skyrim (or even Oblivion) you'd know this is sort of like a running gag/trend for Bethesda and the series. All the TES games are buggy (whether it's small glitches or big game breaking bugs) because they are massive.

Maybe I'm too passionate about this subject but holy shit, Skyrim took around 7 years to develop. Just playable? It's an insult to how amazing and deep the games are. Again I'm sorry but I've heard this kind of stuff too often to let if fly...

Man, I hope it doesn't take them 7 years to make the new game. Has there been any leaks about it yet? Beth will probably finish off Fallout 4 before any news of TES gets released.

And regarding the bugs...there are just too many game breaking bugs in Skyrim. I haven't been keeping up, but have there been any new patches since Dragonborn's release? They desperately need them. But, it's unlikely that we will get them, which sucks for us console users.

Wait, Frost, you play on the PC right?
Well, a lot of games are like that. TLoU took about three years to complete, and even then the dev team needed an extra couple months to get it completely ready. If you have people hyped over a game, don't release it early. They will still want it if they are fans of the franchise. Don't push it out and start tinkering with it. There are a lot of bugs in Skyrim that really drag the game down.
I'm not saying it's bad, it just feels awkward.

You have to understand that the development of a game is done by entirely different people with entirely different agendas than the hyping and advertising, the budgeting and, most important, the decisions and timelines. Most often, the publishers and producers will hand decisions to marketing departments, who will make their best effort to drive all that is great about a game into the ground, requesting specific features (ex: multiplayer, dumb down gameplay/story, imitate other succesful games of the genre), DLCs, a specific release date for christmas or whatever, and all that without taking into account the "heart" or the actual development of the game.
Do you want to know what a real unfinished game looks like? play KOTOR II. And then play it with the fans restored content patch. two entirely different games.

Skyrim is so massive that you just couldn't correct every single bug, game-breaking or not, and sometimes this lack of corrections can make the game more fun, even.

Xbox. The thing is this: you fix one bug, another pops up. Just remember back to the backwards flying dragons. That was the result of the first patch. With so many moving parts, bugs like these will never go away, as well as the more game-breaking ones.

Agreed. Oh, and /)

Don't kill the chicken in Riverwood! Don't kill just anyone. You might need them later. Only carry what you absolutely need...like 100 apples and bread ^.^

If you have the Steam version, before you start, download a load of mods.
Also, carry a load of Torches and Bowls with you.

Go straight to a dragon priest, and let them kill you. You get infinite health when you respawn

EDIT: Oh wait, you don't know what a dragon priest is... well, instead, clear out embershard mine when you reach riverwood.

OH, AND GET HEARTHFIRE, DRAGONBORN AND DAWNGUARD

Noooo, don't do that. I have the Xbox version and I've played probably around 500 hours in total, and obviously, never once touched a mod, and I still have an infinite amount of things to do. Roleplaying is the key to an everlasting Skyrim. But if you do use game-changing mods (not graphical ones), I'd suggest not using any until you've played a fair amount of the vanilla game.

Also, yes, download all of the add-ons. :)
