This is what you'll be fighting​


Now, I know this is a game coming out sometime next year, but, I haven't seen it getting too much attention. If you don't know what The Last of Us is, it's a survival horror game, and it's supposed to change the genre, and every situation you run into you can change the outcome of how enemies react. Now, you start out in the story as a man with a young girl (she's an AI, and this isn't a game where you must escort her somewhere) making it across the U.S. whilst trying to defend themselves from Fungus infected zombies. Even though there are zombies in this game, there are survivors, and not all of them are friendly. Other than this piece of information, not too much else is known about the game other than Naughty Dog is making it, and it's out sometime in 2013. This is a discussion thread strictly for it, and as such, any off-topic post will be reported, so, discuss! (More information can be found Here)

Well, I'm probably not getting it unless it comes out for Wii U... which actually isn't too unlikely with games like AC being playable on Wii U. I guess we'll see...

It's coming out for the PS3 only so far :/ but I'm betting that it might also be released for the PC
 
once again seems like exactly the type of game that will be developed for console gamers and PC gamers will get the scraps of a poorly made PC port

and, once again, it has such a neat hook but will be ruined by fans who want more action

I would be really excited for it if it seemed like it would focus more on the survival aspect and less on "blam blam blam dum zombiez"

But from what I've seemed, it seems to be based more on the latter, which is a real shame.
 
Actually, Naughty Dog said it would be more survival, not zombie killing, even when the game was just a thought, they compared it to Dead Island thinking it would end up the same, so they tried to make it better. Unfortunately, I gotta agree that fans who want more action will ruin it, but it's whatevs, it looks good, and no one has really seen it except for in trailers/pictures. Of course those are assumptions though, and may not be true at all.
 
I'm glad that the developers have acknowledged that problem, because that was exactly Dead Island's problem.

I really hope they end up making good on that promise, cuz if they do that and also put a decent amount of effort into porting it to PC, I will definitely pick it up.

True dat, this is really a snuggly kept secret, they haven't revealed anything other than small parts of the main character's pasts and the current apocalypse.
 
Man, it's really a shame that the game is purportedly a PS3 exclusive, because I would love to play this and yet have no desire to get a PS3, especially just for one game. This seems super awesome, though.
 
Easley put, this is the most anticipated game on my list so far. Everything about it makes me want to play it more! The storyline, characters, gameplay, everything!
