I'd like to get a lot of feedback on this song, mostly because i've really grown to like the lyrics in this song. The more songs i write, and the more feedback i get, the better my songs can get. That sounds pretty awesome to me. The sound is more, alternative. a bit faster paced, but not slurring the words much at all.

What do you think this song is about? Comment, try n figure it out. :)

The Man The Machine - A Cure To Happiness
---

And the day had it come
Before yesterdays' run
We would both be okay
Now "No sunshine today"
Said the man you let
Rain down upon your parade, fear

The marching bands' mad
But he's scandalously glad
That the town is a wreck
Just as the movies are sets
Made of the cardboard and curtains
To portray your glossy reality

But no doubt I'm the victim
Of the green contact lens
You caught me itching again

But no doubt I'm the victim
Of the beautiful thief
Who's calling me as we are speaking

Now, The doctors are sick
And that man's just a pea-rick
But he was pleasant at first
You see your picking the worst

Of the apples and fruits
From the loom of the youth
It's like trying to teach
The man
The machine
But i'm sure you won't get
It before you regret it, darling

But no doubt I'm the victim
Of the green contact lens
You caught me itching again

But no doubt I'm the victim
Of the beautiful thief
Who's calling me as we are speaking now
But the clown's got a clue
And he's pointing at you
Oh the shame of a suit and the tie
That morning, yesterday

And the day had it come
Before yesterdays' run
We would both be okay
Now "No sunshine today"
Said the man from the fog
You could hear ever so softly

EDIT: pea-rick isn't the actual word that goes there, it's just censored. :3

dna to the rescue again

From what I can tell, the lyrics are about a man whose girlfriend was stolen away by someone else, and that eventually he knows his girlfriend's going to regret it (though she can't see it yet), but that's just a guess.

I think the lyrics are actually rather well done; it gives a clue about what's going on but doesn't outright say it either. I'm not exactly hip to reading hidden messages in song titles or anything, but I liked it.
