We think we're done, so we would like a count.
And, since Celever and I have been through the third gen multiple times and have yet to find the second missing Pokemon, could we get confirmation that there is actually another missing?

No one's mentioned it in the whole game unless I missed it and it was typoed, since I also did a search. There were indeed a couple that I did miss, but I caught them before compiling my results.

Here's the final breakdown for most forgotten Pokémon in a few categories:

Most Forgotten Legendary: Genesect
Most Forgotten Starter: Pignite
Most Forgotten Gen 1 Pokémon: Tentacruel
Most Forgotten Gen 2 Pokémon: Girafarig
Most Forgotten Gen 3 Pokémon: Zigzagoon
Most Forgotten Gen 4 Pokémon: Hippowdon
Most Forgotten Gen 5 Pokémon: Simisear
Most Forgotten Gen 6 Pokémon: Espurr

Interestingly enough, I think that the amount of posts in this thread which were dupes was actually about 250. 974-721 (the post number where Brave posted Espurr) - not doing Simisear - a couple of Thena's hosting posts.
