Pokemon The Most Forgotten Pokémon

The ones that I always tend to forget about are (and yes, I had to look up a list of Pokemon because I neglect them that much):

Slugma/Magcargo
Corsola
Tyrogue/Hitmontop

(Lots from Gen III... not my favorite)
Lotad line
Wingull/Pelipper
Shroomish/Breloom
Whismur line
Nosepass/Probopass
Meditite/Medicham
Barboach/Whiscash
Chimecho
Clamperl line
Deoxys (I never obtained it back in the day, and I started playing R/S a couple years after its release)

(Gen IV is also not a favorite...)
Burmy line
Cherubi/Cherrim
Glameow/Purugly
Chingling
Bonsly
Finneon/Lumineon
Mantyke
Phione
Manaphy

Gen V is still pretty fresh in my mind, but I can see myself forgetting the Sewaddle line, Petili/Liligant, and Alomomola.

each gen has its own pokemon
1st: Drowzee line,Magnemite line,Shellder line and Paras line
2nd: Spinirak line,Aipom,Stantler,Pineco line,Slugma line,Swinub line
3rd: Gulpin line,Relicanth,Chimeco and the regies
4th: Stunkey,Purgley
5th: foraseed,Maractus and elgyem line
6th: all of them i only see people talking about sylveon..:D

Relicanth is not forgotten by me. It is a favorite of mine.

I think the most forgotten Pokemon are Team Rocket's Pokemon.

Ok, I went through all Pokémon:
1. Seel-line, Exeggcute-line (more spotlight now thanks to the TCG) maybe Kagashkan
2. Corsola, Togetic, Sunflora, Murkrow, Phanpy-line, maybe Yanma
3. Chimecho, Electrike-line, Clamperl-line, Gulpin-line, Cacnea
4. Bonsly, Ambipom, Chinngling, Munchlax & Mantyke (kinda)
5. Alomomola, Ducklett-line, Cryogonal (maybe I just want to forget it...), Shelmet-line, Sigilyph (again, TCG gives spotlight), maybe Elgyem-line

PS: Worst Pokémon ever?!
1. Cryogonal
2. Mr. Mime
3. Grimer line
4. Gulpin line

Krabby and Kingler take the cake for me. Its so forgotten that everyone forgot to mention it in their lists of forgotten Pokemon :D

If Ash had one, I'd hardly say it's a forgotten Pokemon.

Well he pretty much dumped it off right away, it has been absent in the TCG in who knows how long and its a pretty worthless Pokemon in the games. I'd say its pretty much forgotten lol

Trapinch, something..., then Flygon!

The Bronzong line. Not forgotten, but one of the least creative and worst Pokemon lines out there. It and Klink's line.

Somebody will be coming to your house shortly with a loaded pistol.

I think Seadra is pretty high up there. In fact, most second evolutions in a three evolution line get the short end of the stick. Examples: Sealeo, Grotle, Vigoroth.

I would say Boldore because of how damn unremarkable it is, but it's in every cave in Unova. >.>

Also, the Furret and Masquerain lines. Furret looks way too normal, and Masquerain is absolutely terrible. Quilfish is also highly forgettable, because its existence is unjustified.

@everyone

Please remember to follow the OP. If you're simply posting a list of names, your post is meaningless. Nothing of value comes out of that. Try to give reasoning to support your choices so we don't end up with a spam fest. TY

Many Pokémon get forgotten over time, whether it be by their appalling typing or their boring looks. So, in this thread we remember the forgotten and try and figure out what went wrong.

I love Finneon and Lumineon, but they're easy to forget because of their not-so-unique typing, mediocre stats at best, and the lack of availability. (found in only one or two spots in Sinnoh. Sandgem's all I can think of at the moment.)

I feel as though the Baltoy-line is forgotten too. Why? I don't really know. They've got a cool type and good stats, so...

Finneon and Luminneon are forgotten because they have only been featured in Sinnoh and could be barely found there. The stats are horrible haven't been featured in the anime... They are actually cool Pokemon but they aren't featured ever and that is what happens with most of the Pokemon that are easy to forget (almost never featured in games/anime/TCG, etc) and have mediocre stats.

It is what happens with (most) of these Pokemon. Other don't have a good design for some people (even though that shouldn't be counted with all the Klinklang, Vanniluxe and Garbodor hate). Taking most of the lists that people made, most of those have mediocre stats or aren't found in much games.

^This.

I believe most pokémon that are forgotten are usually Water-type and Normal-type 2 stage families, specially fish pokémon (for water-types) and generic mammals (for normal-types), pretty much because of the abundance of pokémon in those 2 types. Those and middle stages of 3 stage families, because well, you start with the little one and all you want is the final evo, so you just don't care much about the middle stage (this is helped by the fact that Rare Candy bypasses the middle stage in the TCG). Finally, some pokémon that don't evolve but are not really gimmicks might end up falling into oblivion too for some people...

BUT, like mitja just said, I don't know if it's just because I have a very good memory but I NEVER forget any pokémon, I remember every single one when I'm trying to complete the dex in the games, I don't forget the name of any pokémon and although I don't know by memory the exact order of all National Pokédex (because I stopped caring about that after gen 3), I know more or less the general order of most of it...

Delibird, obviously. Delibird isn't that useful, never used in shows/gym leaders/games (sorta). It's the number 1# forgotten pokemon.

No offense, Delibird. Sorry.

P.S. Moar Ice/Flying please. ;)

I never literally forget any Pokemon, but there are some that are just... never at the forefront of my memory. Whenver I find a Finneon, it's not, "Oh, I forgot Finneon exists!" It's more, "Oh yeah, Finneon, haven't seen that in a while".

(Also, unless there's a post I missed, I'm happy to not see Dunsparce mentioned here. It used to be the most common Pokemon I'd see mentioned in this type of discussion, but because of that it's now popular in its own way lol. Leaves us more room to bring up Pokemon that are actually "forgotten".)

...Masquerain...

Oh, I literally forgot that existed... I probably forgot because it's small, it's a bug type (ew), and I mean... who even cares about the Surskit line?

Definitely not; Delibird at least has a weird niche as that Santa Pokemon. There are plenty of Pokemon just as useless as it that have nothing unique about them whatsoever.

Perhaps Tropius? Its typing is pretty unique and it has Harvest but its stats are exceedingly mediocre and even Exxegutor is a better Harvester that I feel its still forgotten somewhat.
