Pokemon The Name Rater Thread!

I named my female Shiny Typhlosion Cindy(when it was a Cyndaquil, of course.:))
I also named my Zebstrika Voltarien, because I wanted something cool-sounding and it just popped into my head, and no, I didn't base it on anything.

I recently hatched a shiny Absol, female, with a Rash nature but it's been a few days and she still has no name, the poor girl. She's really pretty and I was looking for a fierce, but beautiful name.

(I don't know why but naming Pokemon is a tedious ritual for me. I spent 30 minutes trying to name a shiny Zorua I hatched. Then once I had named it I changed the name twice after that. It must have been hours. T_T)

I want to name the Absol to go with the rest of the shinies I've received in B&W including:
Nano, a Chandelure
Iki, a Zorua
Maus, a Petilil.

Hi guys. I wanna know what you think of ome of the nicknames I gave my Pokemon and I also need some help tocome up with names for some of them. All my Pokemon are male(except Lampent) and non-shiny.

1. Oshawott- Ociano (Spanish for ocean)
2. Pansage- *needs name*
3. Pansear- *needs name*
4. Sandile- Judean (Judean Desert)
5. Emolga- Greek (I was watching the show when I caught it)
6. Druddigon- Ruddy (Thanx Paddy185)
7. Braviary- White (I had to trade it from someone with White Version)
8. Deino- HydraSerp (Thanx Paddy185)
9. Ferrothorn- Bowie (bowie knife)
10. Lampent- Dama (short for Hitodama which are souls of the newly dead taking form as mysterious fiery apparitions. Could also mean lady in spanish as my Lampent is a female.)

So what do you guys think of the names? can yall help me to come up withsome for my others?

Possible name suggestions:
Pansage: Gaia
Pansear: Pyro

Not the best of name suggestions, I know...especially not for Pansear, but I can't think of many good nicknames for them (despite the fact that Simisage is a cool Pokemon and I keep thinking of broccoli whenever I see it).

@Antler: Stalagmus.
@Paddy: How about Anaconda? After all, it just wants a hug.

I have a few great names I recently thought up.

Kyle the Kyreum
Resh the Reshiram
Zek the Zekrom
Ra (Egyption god of the sun) the Volcarona (the Sun Pokemon)

And my personal favorite...

Mothra the Volcarona

What do you guys think of these names?

I nicknamed my Froslass Dementor but... I'm already using that for my Gengar. Any suggestions?

@Robot: Those are... okay. Not good, not bad, but I normally don't name my Pokemon after actual people names.

A good name for froslass would be yuki onna, which is a creature from japanese mythology that froslass is based on.

For gigalith, I named mine rockbomb (a creature from th dragon quest series). I suggest naming after a rock monster from an RPG or video game.

@Yoda 432

You should name him Nugget! It sounds cute and suiting for a Numel, both as a food or some type of mineral. [:

@DarkVoid57

You could name it Archer or Arley. Sounds interesting for a Cobalion, shiny or not.

Does anyone have any good names for shiny Togekiss? I need a name for both genders.
I'm thinking about stuff that has to do with a birthday like Confetti.
That'd be adorable for both, but I need a few more to be sure.

@Quentin: A male could be Glide, and a female could be Serena. The latter sounds a bit corny, but I used it for my own female Togekiss anyway, and it worked well.

Well, yes, I just hatched the Yamask, then evolved it into a Cofagrigus right away. (Audios FTW)
