The New DS Thread

Guys, these "photos" you're posting are fake fan mockups. They originally appeared on Gizmodo and Kotaku as a "what would we do to redesign the DS" thing.

I'd be surprised if Nintendo releases another DS iteration. Sales of the DS Lite are not hurting, and there's only so much they can add to it.

I expect the next thing from Nintendo will be an entirely new handheld. The original DS was released almost 4 years ago, and while I think it's the better system given game selection, technically it pales in comparison to the PSP. Nintendo needs something completely new to up the ante in the handheld arms race.
 
If the next handheld had graphics that were much better, that would be wonderful.

Yeah, I think they will absolutely have to Keep it two screens with one being touch though. People would miss that sooooooooooo much. The DS sales around my area are starting to ache a little bit, but are still running strong enough. I know and realize that these are fan mockups, but its fun to play around with the Idea of a awesome New DS. They may not call the next one DS, but I think they will still keep it dual screened. I really like the DS more than The PSP though, The PSP has a very limited range of variety I think.
It would be very easy to break, and Noobnerd, Thats a Chuck-E-Cheese Arcade game. It is a giant screen.

If these pictures are real (Which they are probably not) I see Nintendo comfirming them at the Tokyo games show coming up and even that is doubtful...
 
The Newest post on Pokebeach Confirms that The Web Browser is true! This is beyond our Wildest Dreams! Plus More!!!!!!
 
Eh, this isn't so much "Confirmed" as rumored.

The web browser probably isn't going to happen because of some Open Source software licensing issues Nintendo had when they made the Opera Browser cartridge. It's the reason the Wii Internet Browser CAN NEVER cost money to download.

This shows all the sides to the new Nintendo handheld. Equped with two camera. One for yourself, and the other for another person. If you can remember Gameboy Camera, its basically that, but all in one. Well its quite obvious the top picture is the DSi.

I saw that! My cousin and I can't wait until it comes out. We're getting impatient but it could be as late as well into 2009 before it releases in the US. I think it releases sometime this fall in Japan. :)
