The new meta

What does everyone think the meta is going to be this format? I think the big 3 are gonna be:

Vilegar
Luxchomp
Dialgachomp

the other decks that will see quite a bit of play:

Sablock
Jumpluff
Scizor Prime varients
Gyarados
Lostgar
Steelix Prime
Other Lost World varients

Other stuff: Personally I think if Lostgar suceeds SP won't be played too much

I have seen only one GenPlume deck in Battle Roads so far. And I've been to a few so far.

Got it all wrong IMO (no offense).

Top Decks

Gengar Prime

Other Play

Everything else (pretty low numbers for everything except Dialga, Luxray, and Absol in slightly higher numbers).

dmaster out.

I think that gengar prime will see most of the play but vilegar and SP's won't be far behind. I haven't seen Jumpluff, Steelix, or Scizor so I don't think they'll receive much play.

If Lostgar ends up being as good and as popular as it's made out to be(I've been testing some variants and it definitely does have potential), I think the top decks will be as followed

Lostgar
Tyranitar Prime
Dialgachomp
Luxchomp
Vilegar
Other Lost World variants (Absol)

I want to live where you do :p(rikko145)
GenPlume is no.3 in BR wins, so it's good and will be played.
Also my list is-

Tier One
DialgaChomp
LuxChomp
LostGar
BlazeChomp
SableLock

Tier Two
Absol Variants
GengaPlume
Magnezone
Arceus

The new meta isn't too different to how it was last season due to SP's still dominating the format AGAIN. At BR's I played against quite a few decks that were much more fun than SP's such as Gengar/Vileplume, Steelix/Tyranitar Prime, and a few others.

I also saw an Eeveelution deck being played which was nice seeing as they have low HP to stand up to high HP Pokemon to survive. Next season should be more interesting since SP's will finally be out of the picture and it will give current Tier 2 decks a chance to advance to Tier 1 possibly unless Lost Zone decks ends up replacing SP's.

Genplume is Tier 1 IMO. Yea, what CFOURCOLTSFAN said, I'd love to live there. 50% of the people in my BRs ran Genplume.

Gengar Prime's gonna be pretty good, at least at high Tier 2. However, we haven't gotten Gengar Prime yet so I didn't want to turn this into a Gengar Prime thread. Also, Machamp/Donphan is gonna be on that list somewhere.

People really need to stop say Gengar Prime is Tier 1 even though it hasn't even come out yet. Wait until it comes out. That way we can judge it with more than just theorymon. Also, who says we're going to get all of the cards people are talking about? What if they hold back Twins/Spiritomb/Hunter? Then what? Seriously people, let the card prove it's self first, THEN you can talk about how good it is.

I think SP will continue to are heavy play due to their domination at worlds and the comfort level of those already running them.
Lostgar could end up drawing in a lot of the "dislike" SP players.
These 2 types should make up a significant amount of decks/winners.
Everything else should be a step down.
Should Vilegar see wild success, players will counter with significantly lower trainers.
Arceus could see moderate success in limited numbers, due to the difficulty of running the deck.
Tyranitar could are more play as a Lostgar/Vilegar killer.
Any machamp success could be weakened by Gengar success.

I guess it all depends on Lostgar.

In my area the the top decks are, in order:

BlazeChomp
LuxChomp
DialgaChomp
Vilegar
Other

As you can see there's a lot of SPs. We also have a few decent rouge decks in the area, to name a few, Arceus, Flyplume, Duskplume, and of course there's me who always plays Charizard.;)

Edit: This is in seniors. I don't really pay attention to the other divisions.

With the VileGar deck out there,my area has cut back on the SP decks lately. And I think CurseGar will make a comeback as well.

CFOURCOLTSFAN - I live in Indiana! :p And I very much so agree with your Tiers.

^
lol, i was born there.
Wish i stayed there, there is a lot of Vilegar in our area.
Also, yay someone agrees w/ my tiers.

Also my one thought is that BlazeChomp w/ DGX tech will be BDIF. It counters the other tier decks well IMO.

lol, and it's NOT just cause I play DialgaChomp hardcore! :p I really think you hit the nail on the head. And I also heard we might be keeping Nationals here. You hear anything?

I think t-tar prime might be on the rise, he's a mean tank that can get around scizors red metal. No one can seem to find a consistant build to run with him that I've seen tho.

Also scizor prime and heelix will probably get more play.

But my opinion isn't that great, theres isn't a lot of meta play in my league.

T-tar- Will prolly go up just as a counter to LostGar(similar to SF T-tar winning CC's due to a high level of dusknoir play two years ago)

Scizor Prime and Healix-Scizor prime=phail, more DGX w/ Mew prime.
Healix=phail, too much Blaze FB to counter DGX right now.
