Well if Reshiram and Zekrom are the Ying Yang pokemon the trio must revolve around each other so I say

Maybe three mythical beasts? A kraken, pegasus, and giant deserve places in pokemon. (don't even call rapidash a pegasus, its a unicorn)

Lot's of awesome ideas/posts on this threat. 
But yeah, i'm also tired of the many many psychic-legendaries, even the DPPt trio was pure psychic! So i hope that we will get overall less psychic-legendaries in the 5th generation and in return some types not before seen among the legendary tiers.
And before i start to go off topic i'll give my fav points for the before-mentioned {G}{W}{R} and maybe {P}(as poison){F}{D} trio-types.

If we're gonna have horse legendaries, then I want them to all be based off of Pegasus.
Flying horsies... <3 Also, the whole "fire grass and water" thing is too much like the starters. They could just use dark, psychic and ghost. Even though the psychic horse would get its arse kicked by the other two. xP

Hmmm... Maybe it should be Psychic, Fighting, and Dark-types for the legendary horses.
That way, it works better. Fighting beats Dark, Dark beats Psychic, and Psychic beats Fighting. It's like the starters, but even better. >:3
