The next format cut is...

Man this is beyond words. People were worried about DS being cut and they cut LM too! Personally I don't care about LM (haha Destiney got a bust) but holon tranceivor just became the biggest scam ever! Wonder what people can pull of with only Holon Adevturer and Mentor?
 
Steven's/copy cat/lannettes/mentor/scott/that belt card will be the new engine....and I love that kind of engine.
 
I guess from we will have to use other Trainers like Celio's Network to search for basic pokemon since Holon Mentor will be out of format soon... :(
 
Don't worry. I think there will be better cards than Mentor that will arrive as D/P starts to rise.
 
No more Banette EX!!

That sucks. I was surprised that they cut the DS / LM sets.

Although I am glad to see the trainers being rotated. The decks were all starting to look the same, which was getting kinda boring.

But no more Bannette Ex / Eevee EX decks, very sad.

If Potion wasn't reprinted in DP, it would've been out of format XD.

On a sadder note:
I have no deck. At ALL. Bought about 15 packs of both LM and UF and now they're all gone...
 
Glad the Holon Engine is gone. Glad I sold my Transcievers. Crappy that Dustox gets the axe.

Oh and Houndoom, potion is in CG too if I'm not mistaken.
 
It's just bad to have no decks at all when you have 2 back then.:(
 
Yeah i just finished my 2 decks since i started in may and now have nothing left of them all the cards and combos are done for.... :(

How often do they drop sets? every year? or what?
 
Every year.

You know I don't mind dumping DS. I like the Holon Engine, but whatever.

I don't mind LM going away. I love Arcanine ex & Banette ex, but I can deal.

However I hate that BOTH of them are going away. One or the other would have been fine but both is a pretty bitter pill to swallow.
 
How many sets does they drop every year? Is it constant? I don't recall the drops last time.
 
Usually they drop 4 sets. It went from RS-on to HL-on. From E-Series on to Ex-series on. But they cut 3 sets last time (HL, FRLG and TRR got the axe), so now they compensate by dropping 4.
 
If they cut 4 per year then next year we might have only DP series? Oh man, PUSA must be quick in releasing DP expansions.
 
E-EX: 3 Sets: AQ, SKR, EXP
RS-HL: 4 sets: RS, SS, DR, TMTA
Hl-DX: 3 Sets: HL, FRLG, TRR
DX-HP: 5 sets (!): DX, EM, UF, DS, LM

It should average about 3-4 sets...
