That Donkey Kong movie looks cool. Too bad it didn't release to more theaters, or I would've seen it when it came out.

dmaster out.

Here's the quiz:

1. Nintendo was originally founded in 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi to produce "hanafuda", which are what?

2. Nintendo has four national headquarters covering different parts of the globe. They are large facilities that deal with the national matters of that region. What are they?

3. Nintendo's first successful console was the NES. What does NES stand for?

4. When the SNES came, Nintendo fans everywhere were pleased to find many great new games, as well as beautifully designed sequels of their favourite NES games. But over in Japan, it wasn't called the SNES! What was it called?

5. This was the first game released for the SNES. It was often bundled with the system itself, and sold extremely well, whether it was bought with the system or not. To which game am I referring?

6. The SNES was a huge success, but it could have been so much more! A fact that many don't know is that Nintendo initially had a contract to develop an add-on CD-ROM drive for the SNES, but after a standalone version of the drive was made, Nintendo terminated the contract. This CD-ROM drive was tweaked and became one of the most popular consoles ever, with an endless library of games spanning every genre. I'm sure Nintendo regrets terminating that contract, because the famous gaming company that created it is none other than... whom?

7. Next up was the Nintendo 64. Why was it called this?

8. When polygons smoothed out and systems like the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 came out, Microsoft released the XBOX, and Nintendo countered with the GameCube. Which of these is NOT true about the Nintendo GameCube?

a. It has the ability to play most Game Boy games using a special add-on.
b. It has four built-in controller ports, similar to the Nintendo 64.
c.It is a perfect cube, measuring 5.8 inches in height, width, and depth.
d.It has the ability to go online, using an adapter sold separately.

9. In the handheld market, Nintendo has had many ventures, the most successful being the incredibly addictive Game Boy, which was introduced to the world in 1989. However, Nintendo had another console marketed as a "portable system", but it definitely was not. Released in 1995, it was heavy, it was dangerous, and it was a down-right flop! What was it called?

a. Virtual Boy
b. Nintendo X
c. CD-Interactive
d. Xevious

10. Nintendo has always been great at helping fans when they're stuck. They even have an official magazine that has tips, cheat codes, passwords, and walkthroughs. This strategy magazine is often criticized, though, because many fans feel their information is far too subjective, and they don't offer enough critical information to help someone decide whether that game is worth purchasing. What is the name of this magazine?

PM me with your answers so others don't copy. DO NOT LOOK UP ANSWERS ON THE INTERNET.

BTW is anybody still doing the sprite contest?

OK peeps. While everybody sends their answers lets start a new topic so.... any suggestions?
BTW there might be a prize for a perfect score....

New Topic: Who knows which Nintendo "heavy-hitter" game is coming out by the end of the year, as foretold by Gamestop? Didn't hear about this? Search it up.

I can't right now, but if you go to IGN Wii, it's on the sidebar.

Personally, I'm thinking/hoping Kid Icarus. Odds are it'll just be the Mario we were already introduced to.

Kid Icarus...

We need something with him in it, already! He's so awesome, why has only had, like, one game?
