was what I said earlier, if you D/C, you're out, no matter what.
Unless you can prove it wasn't because of you, either by filming the match or whatever other way there is of proving it.

I don't have the technology available to film it.

Also, Ditto has brawl just in case we get to twenty three and you need one more, but it doesn't seem like we're getting further. =(

Can't we just start. I have an idea give everyone a number between like 1-6 then go to, www.random.org and roll the dice the # it lands on that group proeeds and then you asign everyone within that group a number 1-6 then roll the die and then the people that are in that # group again proceed and do that till there is only 1 person left after the # is rolled. Then that person gets a bye.

There problem solved.

The reason I love Brawl and hate tripping:
Randomness

I can't stand it, Mario Kart is full of it, and it's making me sick already, I'm not going to give away free wins to people for doing absolutely nothing, that's not the point of a tournament.

I can't remember a single instance where I tripped and it ended up having me get hit by an attack I would have otherwise avoided.

Every time I've tripped I've been far enough away from the opponent or the opponent missed hitting me because of it. As much like it seems like a bad idea, honestly it hasn't caused me any real problems in all my battles.

How about start the joining al over and then people re join and the first however many people to sign-up get spots. That would solve the problem.

It's not the fact that you can lose a stock because of it, it's the fact that your character can spontaneously do something without you wanting him/her to, and this whilst doing 1 of the most basic commands in the game. Luigi's B>, Waddle throw and Turnip pluck I can live with, because people always in calculate this possibility, and it's also always positive. Whilst all tripping does is add something negative to the most basic form of movement, which is just downright silly. I like smash because it gives you so much control over what you're doing, tripping kinda kills that. It's not a big or anything, it's just the stupidest thing in the game.

And I'm going to try and get this show on the road tomorrow, one way or another.

Today I was in a Tourney with my friends and it went in to sudden death and and!!!!
I tripped miserably and died. T_T
