I figured what the heck. I saw that The Assassin posted a limerick, which inspired me to post a poem or two, but then I realized...why not share the love? Post your poems here if you so choose, just for the heck of it or if you want some critique.
One of the first poems I wrote, I don't think it's the best but oh well. If you don't like dark poems don't read it.
Also fun fact, Lord Exavier is my "pen name."
Remembering
Remembering songs from ages past,
Of many years ago,
And it seems that only I know,
That memories are what's left of the forgotten past.
Remembering happiness of lifetimes past,
Though not so long ago,
And it seems that only I know,
That happiness is only fleeting and cannot last.
Remembering broken promises from the past,
Of ages not so long ago,
And it seems that only I know,
That a promise is words and not meant to last.
Forgetting is the problem of the past,
And remembering takes its place,
Look at me and see my face,
And tell me nothing of the past.

Have fun.
