As a relatively new member of the Pokemon TCG Community, I seriously owe a lot to the Pokemon TCGO. Let me give you a little backstory.
I stopped collecting/playing around HG/SS and came back in 2011 during the bridge between BW and Emerging Powers.I I had a lot of apparent deck staples at the time, and I really wanted to play, but the problem was that I don't have a league near me. So, I didn't try to learn. I simply threw away the TCGO codes, not realizing how useful they'd become to me. Then, around Noble Victories, I heard about the return of EXs. My favorite Ultra Rare, revived? Amazing! I finally thought I could play the game, so I dug into an old EX series manual, trying to refresh my skills. Then, the scans came in. New, higher HP, different moves, and a whole slew of 6 was out of this world. That's when I tried looking around for tutorials. Everything, even the Pokemon websites, was still back in either the HG/SS days, or BW1-Noble Victories. And so I waited, and waited, and Next Destinies was released. I opened many packs, but did not know how to play. Suddenly, I had a very weird epiphany-instead of throwing away the TCGO cards, I could use them to learn how to play! So, I redeemed all the codes I'd been keeping in a box and suddenly had a very competitive deck. I worked my way up, beating the AI until I'd built my first real competitive deck in real life. It's taught me a lot. But, Dark Explorers isn't on the TCGO,you can't play with other people, it's getting extremely buggy, and I can't play the Trainer Challenge on my Mac, so now I can't keep my skills up unless I drive all the way to a league, and I'm sure new players will also be hindered by this until possibly the end of the Summer. Hopefully the update will also add some more things, but I basically listed mine. What do you think will be added in the update to the TCGO?
