I'm sure you guys already heard about it from Serebii since apparently PokeBeach didn't spread the news about it further confirming Black & White's compatibility with the 4th Generation games and Pokemon.

From what was spoiled on CoroCoro magazine I guess it works differently from Pal Park where you can only migrate one Pokemon at a time to transfer onto the new games unlike how you can do multiples with Pal Park.

How do you guys feel about it? IMO it's not bad but at least we won't lose our old Pokemon in the new games especially considering that Black and White will have a National Pokedex with roughly 650 Pokemon total.

:O Are you kidding only one? There should be way more then one at a time did you find this on serebii's home page?
IMO I want way more!

Well some guy on Pojo told me this about it:

Actually, you send one after another, it will only take a few seconds, all you have to do is send, wait a few seconds, and get it out of the transfer machina and send again! Its available as soon as you can get to it i think

Yes this info was on Serebii's homepage, it's just that I would've figured PokeBeach had already posted news regarding this several days ago but I guess the Mods were being lazy about it or something I dunno.

Thanks for the info. so does that mean you don't have to battle em you can just keep getting them straight away?

BTW can you check my 1st thread i think it's under yours it's called vortex.

I'm not sure, we should be able to know more as soon as more info regarding this pops up or gets leaked onto the internet.

As for the Vortex thing that kinda baffles me...

I hope that, with the Internet thing, I can send my Pokemon to black and white without owning 2 DSs. But that's probably to much to hope for.

Though it may not have been mentioned on the front-page of Pokebeach it'd been discussed here on these forums days before Serebii even announced it~

Unless there's been anything else indicating otherwise, from the Corocoro nothing explicitly states sending only a single Pokemon.
Since the article was referring to transferring over the movie Celebi over, someone must have just assumed this means one at a time (It doesn't explicitly say that other Pokemon aren't coming with it though!).

I don't see how that "Noah's ark" fellow could know something like that, unless there was info other than the Corocoro on this matter (which to my knowledge there still hasn't been).

Let's take a look for a second
てんそうマシンでポケモンをてんそうちゅうです!
しばらくおまちください
"Transferring Pokemon with Transfer machine.
Please wait momentarily"

Here Pokemon could be plural OR non-plural, hence nothing suggests for sure only one at a time. Even in English Pokemon's plural is "Pokemon",yes?

People jump to conclusions too fast, hence information like this gets passed on inaccurately and gets even more twisted in the process.

Edit: If there's been any other information/solid source other than Corocoro that suggests sending 1 at a time (and I don't mean what forumers/fansites say) then please direct me to it~

Whatever. They always have backwards compatibility between gens, so a machine that does that is natural. Something that's interesting is that B/W is for the DSi. It was shown earlier in the month, that it is a DSi exclusive. So why would there be backwards-compatibility, if the DS and DSi can connect regularly? Food for thought.

It's not a DSi exclusive. B/W are DS games and can be played on any DS system and all DS systems can connect with each other. It has unannounced exclusive things on the DSi, but you can still play them practically the same.

It can't connect regularly because if it could then you could transfer 5th gen pokemon to 4th gen games. That would kill the 4th gen game. >.< So they've got to put some sort of limiter on it so you can't trade back Zorua, or something that knows Night Burst, for example. Kind of like the Time Machine in G/S/C, if you remember that.

Well I wasn't talking specifically 5th Gen, I was just saying in general.

He's got a point. Also I don't think there's any data on 5th Generation Pokemon in the 4th Generation games such as Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum cause it would take up alot of game card space for the DS assumingly much like what happened with Gold, Silver, and Crystal which was unable to connect somewhat with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. There's also brand new attacks and hold items in Black & White that you will never find in the 4th Gen.

So Game Freak is introducing the next best thing, making it easier to get Pokemon from the 4th Generation games onto Black & White the 5th Generation games. That way it's a win-win for players who don't want to lose the Pokemon they've EV trained so hard on and can still play them and catch the new 5th Gen Pokemon in Black & White as well.

I just hope the transfer machine is quicker than trading. They did that stupid pokebal-flying-into-the-air thing that takes like a year and two months before the ball falls back down. . . I hate it so much. It makes trading six pokemon take fooooooorrrrreeeeeeevvvveeeerrrrrr.

I personaly will not like the transfer machine if it is anything like R/S/E to D/P/P/HG/SS. That would piss the F*** out of me. They should just make it like R/B/Y to G/S/C ... simple and can trade plenty in one day!
