The Reverse Foil Factor

Back when reverse foil cards were becoming standard in booster packs, I really disliked them for some reason. Even if it was a rare and I got the reverse foil version, I really hated it. :D I became used to it during the EX series and actually liked it in some sets (Emerald, Hidden Legends and FR/LG). Others, the reverse foil looked just awful (Deoxys comes to my mind. No matter what I did, some of those cards would never flatten out! :()

It was interesting that they never stuck to the same foil in most of the EX sets. Like I said before, some made the card look great, others made it look pretty dull. I am however glad that they have stuck with one design for the DPPt cards. :)

To finish my post off, I'm going to ask a few questions :) :

1) Have you always been a fan of reverse foil cards? Always like them? Still hate them to this day?

2) What has been your favorite variation of reverse foils? Least favorite?

See above. :D

3) What type of card do you like getting a reverse foil of? Water? Fire? Trainer's?

I like getting anything, but reverse foil Metal-type cards from DPPt look fantastic and are my personal favorite. Really eye catchy and sleek if you ask me. :)
 
1) I have hated reverse holos ever since they were out!

2) I like Drapion "yon" 4. I dont like any others.

3) The only type I like as reverse holos are dark type cards.
 
i remember RH deoxys cards... i agree with your sentiment on those.

I really like Delta Species RH cards, i felt they looked really good, especially the delta species ones. the only thing i really hate about Reverse foils is that you can get the same rare twice in a pack (and i've done so multiple times >.>) nothing worse than opening a pack, seeing something like Mr.Mime 4 in RH, then seeing your rare is a Mr. Mime 4 too.
 
I liked the RH from the Delta Sets and LM/PK. I hate the RH cards from DPt though. They scratch too easily and the picture isn't holo on cards that are normally Rare-Holos. The only DPt RHs that I like are the Rotoms.
 
I had a RH Magcargo from Deoxys. It would not. Freaking. Flatten. Out.

I've always liked the first RH cards from Legendary Collection or the E-sets or something.

3) RH darks. So awesome.
 
I didn't like Deoxys or DS RH for some reason. Emerald and HL RH were amazing though.

1. Never been a complete fan, but lately, these D/P and PL sets really dampen the mood with their fail RH.

2. Favorite: Emerald, Hidden Legends, anything with that style. Least favorite: D/P, Deoxys of course.

3. RH Trainers and RH Energy are the most important things that matter when opening a pack.

1)I love getting RH regular rares, but not RH rare holos in the DP sets.
2)Hidden Legends & Emerald, those were pretty awesome.
3)dark types. It's hard to tell they're RH sometimes, but they look really cool.
 
I liked the RHs from the EX sets....at least they were more like an actual holo. DPt's RH's are ugly and scratch too easily. My RH Claydol was already damaged the moment I pulled it. GE RHs were REALLY bad on quality.

Anyway, I love Water and Trainer RHs the most. Water RHs just look awesome, while the Trainers give you some extra bling in the deck without making them too hard to read. (Some RHs have that problem, too.)

i am quite happy with that if they are holos.

2 arcanine in RR
2 flygon in SW
 
1. I liked reverse foils when they first came out, and I like the ability to get two rares in one pack. Other than that, I'm kinda half-and-half.

2. The original reverse foils from Legendary Collection are definitely my favorite. They have that silver border, and the foil looks like fireworks.

3. Dark types are definitely the best DPPt reverse foils, unless you're counting those awesome reverse foil Basic Energy, which are amazing.

I've always liked them. Really, any type of foil and I'm happy.

Not fond of the SW reverses - they look kind of faded. They seem to be getting better in quality as we progress through sets.

3) What type of card do you like getting a reverse foil of? Water? Fire? Trainer's?

I like Colorless because they look the most noticeably different.
 
ONE → I've never EVER been a fan and don't intend on becoming one.

TWO → None. Hate them all! I wish they would stick another common or uncommon rather than these reverse holos as it would be much more useful. On the same note, it's so annoying when you get a holo rare as one of them, just makes me think why; why; why; endlessly.

THREE → If I had to pick a favourite, it would a dark since it's hardly visible in them whereas in all other types its dead obvious - especially trainers which look so... yuck. And also another one I just remembered would be the energy variations, they were quite cool.
 
I didn't start playing again since HP on so I've pretty much liked most of RH's.

Least Favorite-Not sure, I did get get some FR/LG and my favorite RH(Bulbasaur wouldn't flatten out)

I hate all reverse holos no matter what. They're so ugly, and yeah, they never flatten. What I hate is when I get something that's supposed to be holo, and it's reverse holo instead. Grr.
