Yeah, I'm fairly sure the number on something like Dragonite will show up as ??? before you get the National Dex.

If a Nidoking with Sheer force used earthquake while holding the life orb, it would first get STAB, life orb boost, and then sheer force boost by negating life orbs recoil damage, right? Please correct me if this is not right.

I don't know the order of boosts it gets but Nidoking doesn't get a boost on Earthquake.

If a Pokemon has Sheer Force and Life Orb, then Life Orb will only not give recoil if you use a move that Sheer Force boosts.
Example:
Earthquake = Nidoking takes Life Orb damage (Earthquake has no side effect)
Earth Power = Nidoking does not take Life Orb damage (Earth Power has a side effect). Also gets a Sheer Force boost.

(Black Version) Okay... I'm getting to the Elite Four now. Is my team ready, or do they need leveling up? I tried the Ghost-type leader and they were level 45-50. So... is my team ready?

You definitely want a team around the high 40s at the minimum, and the higher the better (I beat the final boss with a team of exactly 50s). Route 10 is the best place to level-grind - right outside Opelucid there is a small patch of grass; ride back and forth by it on your bike until you see a shaky patch, then make a run for the shaky patch and hope you run into Audino. (If I recall correctly, the other Pokemon you might run into are Stoutland and either Throh or Sawk depending on your version, but they have a combined 15% chance of showing up.)

OK I have a question related to a glitch.
This morning I was playing Pokémon White in the gym before school started and I was doing the battle subway(don't assume this is the 1 HP never dies glitch, its not.). I got to the 4th or 5th battle when something weird happen. I was battling Preschooler Helen and everything was going fine. I had my Zapdos who was just sweeping like normal. then when the preschooler sent out her last Pokémon Larvesta, something weird happened. As soon as larvesta landed, my game went completely black except for my HP bar and the text box that said "Preschooler Helen sent out Larvesta!" the red around the text box was still there but everything was black except for my HP bar and the text. The game froze, too.
Has anyone had this happen before??

OK, so he gets a boost from STAB, Life Orb, and Sheer force for Earth Power, but does Earth Power keep its secondary effect to reduce sp. defense?

OK, so Sheer Force takes away Life Orb's recoil and Earth power's effect, I tought it only did one.

Maybe, but Nidoking will get a STAB from Earthquake, as Earthquake is a Ground type move, meaning Earthquake's power will multiply by 1.5 (150 instead of 100).

Earth Power would still be stronger, and Nidoking has a much larger Special movepool that can benefit from Life Orb + Sheer Force (Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Sludge Bomb, etc.).

Earth Power is actaully more powerfull than Eathquake when you factor in Sheer Power boost.
Earth Power 80 base power x1.5 STAB x1.3 Sheer Force boost x1.3 Life Orb Boost = 202,8
Earthquake 100 base power x1.5 STAB x1.3 Life Orb boost = 195
Even though Nidoking's attack is slightly higher it has a better special movepool just like Rusticks already said.

Not sure if this is the right place for this but Why are my game carts freezing every now and then? Yesterday I cleaned my DS connectors because my White was freezing every once and awhile and today my Platinum froze. I never had any problems with any of them until recently. Should I do my game cart connectors too? Thanks guys. Mods move this if it is the wrong place. Thanks XD.
