BW/BW2 The Simple 5th Gen VG Questions and Answers Thread

Is there a way to decrease EVs when a pokemon is very friendly? I tried both berries and the Salon (Join Avenue) and neither will work because they say that my pokemon is already friendly.

The berries should work even if it is very friendly, it will just say "pokemon adores you". You could also trade it to a friend and trade it back to reset the friendship or make it faint, a lot.

Interesting, I'll have to try the berries again. Thanks. :)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

So, I want to trade my Therian forms Tornadus and Thundurus from my White 2 to my White 1. How do I change them into Incarnate form, because I can't trade them as they are.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

You need the item called Reveal Glass. You can get it by bringing Landorus-T to the Abundant Shrine.

let me clarify: you need a Landorus-T with YOUR OT and have the DR 'event' triggered for the therian Landorus to trigger the reveal glass at Abundant Shrine. Also note that therians cannot exist in BW1 since they're not coded into the games. when traded to BW2, any of the Kami trio (even non-DW incarnates) can become therian if you have the reveal glass and they will have the same ability as their DW counterparts.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

The reason you need a Landorus-T with your OT is because the Therians can't be traded in the first place to get the Reveal Glass. So...yeah.

This would involve you getting Dream Radar, which is a 3DS app sold for $2 in the e-shop. Ouch.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

What are all the shop items in Black City? I thought you could buy nuggets but I don't see them. Are there any other items that should be there and are not? At least I don't see them yet anyway. Thanks XD Outside of the items that are there now.:)

But if you mean for B/W2, than there are only certain evolutionary items depending on version.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

It is for Black 1 XD. How do I get those people to come in? I have both B/W 1 but I don't have 2 DS's. The only thing I can do is find my sisters DS so I can hopefully do a few invites or something XD.:)

Also does anyone have the map for the Abysnal Ruins? I used to have one saved but I don't anymore and How do I get Darmatian from the Relic Castle? I was only able to get the level 70 Starfish Pokemon. I don't think I got him in White either and now I am doing that area in Black so I forgot about it until I had to do it in Black again. LOLz. Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

@Abyssal Ruins: Bulbapedia and GameFAQs both have maps of all 4 floors.
@Relic Castle: Feed it a Ragecandybar. I recommend you save in front of one. They will always have the ability Zen Mode, so catch a female so you can breed more.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

xxashxx, here's one. It's pretty big though. Taken from GameFAQs.

Where is the Pokemon located XD?:) in Relic Castle? Also do you have a link for the Abysnal Ruins?:) Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

The pokemon are located just outside of the east entrance to Relic Castle (the creepy light blue things). You get two RageCandyBars normally in BW1 (one form Prof. Juniper [female] and one from the ex-rocket grunt SE of Icirrus city [winter access only]), but more can be traded over from BW2 (available from movie fans).

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Oh so the ones from the ship will work too right?:)

From the Royal Unova?

Yeah, in fact that's the only way to get more without trading.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Yes it does. It first uses the gem to boost Acrobatics power. Since it no longer has an item, it also doubles the power. It is common in VGC to use a Pokemon with Acrobatics and Flying Gem.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Acrobatics + Flying gem actually triples the attack power on the first turn. As King Arceus pointed out, the move uses the flying gem before the check for held item is done, so it gets the 1.5x boost from the gem followed by the 2x boost for having no held item (effectively becoming a 3x boost). any consecutive turns where Acrobatics are used, it gets the normal 2x boost.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

I was wondering where the best places to EV train are in every game from Gen 3 to Gen 5. I was also wondering if EV's pass on when Pokemon are traded or migrated/Poketransfered.
