ZSS's Down Tilt will always combo into an UpAir at low percentages. UpAir has a huge hitbox, and its easily her best kill move. She's also got her Stun gun for paralysis and more combos.

Samus's only kill move is Down Air, and it can only spike. Charge Shot is really easy to see coming.

@Bippa:Out of curiosity, what were your reasonings for raising Olimar to 6, and lowering Wario?

I think Olimar has the best combo game (excluding Meta Knight) in Brawl. He's got the longest grab range, a fantastic projectile, super armor (whistle), and Purples kill very early. A yellow/blue grab to a white toss nets at least 20%. You can also grab while the white is attacking, and they can't get out. Guess what that means? More damage!

Wario's held back by an extra 30 frames (half a second) of air grab release. You can simply grab and regrab him until your character can kill you, and you can't do anything about it. He also struggles against any air based character (Meta Knight, Zero Suit Samus, Peach, etc), and he's got next to no range if he doesn't have a bike tire.

Wario makes sense, and I like your logic on Olimar, but...
The moment Olimar is thrown off the edge in anyway, he's pretty much screwed(unless he's at a low percentage, he needs to be about mid). With terrible and predictable recovery, any character with good edgeguarding game can get around him. I don't have much else though besides bad recovery options.

We should have stage discussion to. What's banned, counterpick, etc...

The only thing I know about Competitive stuff here is that Meta Knight's on top, trolololol. And since I don't want to make a fool out of myself like Guilty did, (why is Meta Knight not on top. :[ ) I'll just observe.

Please don't submit because you feel you'll look foolish. I want group input on this list, from everyone. This is our group list, therefore everyone should have their say in it.

Hypnolux it was just my opinion. You should give yours too. Also I don't see why we have a tier list most of the time it's the player not the character.

Olimar was always my worst character. I never got his moves lol. I should try him now though.

@Tyraniking: If you are having a lot of trouble with Olimar, take a start with him by just spamming his side special, and just keep throwing your pikmin until your opponent gets close, if you see an opening, grab the opponent or hit em with a smash attack, and if there isn't an opening run. Those are the beginning basics to Olimar
Edit: I took another look at Guilty Sparks tier list, and I noticed it's about the same way I would've made mine a couple years ago, before I was introduced to competitive play. Look at the list closely, and notice the characters near the bottom are the most difficult to use, and the ones at the top are easiest, or maybe preferred by the player or by a friend. Guilty Spark's list isn't wrong, it's just in a different metagame of playing than a lot of us

I'm probably alike to GS, just I'm not as outward about it :3

I always found Lucas, Sonic, Marth, Toon Link, and Meta Knight to be the best characters. I'm just best with them. However, every once and a while I love using people like Olimar and Jigglypuff, who aren't as loved.

No. I won't force you to. If you choose to skip out on this activity, I won't stop you. I'd like it if you did, but its ultimately your decision. There won't be much to discuss until after this activity is done though.

@Tyraniking: Jirachinick's basically got Olimar's playstyle down right there. I'd also suggest looking up Yotube videos for more help as well.

Well when I last tried Olimar, I didn't use throws at all, so I almost used your strategy, but it went like this: Spam side special, if they get close, mash non-special attacks, knock them to the side when their damage is high, repeat. It worked OK, but it wasn't High tier performance.

Well, all lists are opinions anyway, unless you judge them by competitive playability. Look at mine. I know NOTHING about competitive play. I just based stuff on what I thought was good, or what I think has potential, even though I might not be good at the character (I find Ice Climbers harder to use than Olimar, but Olimar is slightly better).

@Chillarmy: Olimar is actually hugely loved, most people just don't understand his playstyle first time around. Jigglypuff... well, I like her(him?), personally, I find Jigglypuff really frustrating unless your a spacing character, but with people like Fox and Diddy Kong, I have a tough time. And then Lucas, I would have agreed with you until 5 days ago, when I noticed I could chain grab Lucas to 40%-60%...
@Tyraniking: Ice Climbers can be harder to use, but only if you want to learn their infinite grab. I do believe Ice Climbers are a little better than Olimar though

Tyraniking, you got the basics of it. Olimar is a very spammy character. I'd strongly suggest using throws as well, as he's got the longest grab range out of all the characters! The whistle has super armor frames, meaning that if you get attacked, you don't get knocked back. It really helps his survival. The whistle alone is what makes him high tier.

Chillarmy: Spacing refers to keeping enough space between you and your opponent so that your attacks hit, but not theirs. Or something like that.
A chain grab is what it sounds like, a chain of grabs.

Out of curiosity, is their any really competitive person here who knows how to use really good DI? I can use basic DI, but, when I look at the advance version of it, well, I just get confused...
For those who don't know what DI is, DI stands for directional influence, and, well, basically describes itself, it influences the direction you go when you get hit by an attack, and is the reason some characters are really good(allows Snake to survive to 200%)
