So here you can talk about football or soccer as the americans call it. I myself support Manchester United. I'll start off the discussion. Did anyone watch the finals against Barcelona? Man Utd really played bad, except for the first 10 minutes. Anyone got any ideas on the future of Tevez and Ronaldo? Discuss anything you like to do with Football (Soccer).

^Yeah, that was an embarrasement to English football. Ronaldo still has a contract with Man Utd until 2012, so it's also up to Sir Alex Ferguson whether to sell him, which I doubt he will.
 
I can't belive Barcelona won. Manchester United is the better club, but Messi really exicuted.
 
Well in my opinion Man U are not the better club, barcelona are better IMO, they are more exciting to watch and unpredictable which makes a football game

I mean a better Club, not this year team. Manchester is the Yankees of soccer, while barcelona is comparable to the Giants in 2008. Barcelona can get even with Manchester if they continue to have these kind of seasons.
 
Man Utd are the better club. Barecelona arn't unpredictable, they're one of the most predictable clubs in the game. They always have the same tactic, pass. They execute the passes where they need to be. United had bad tactics that's another reason why they won.

In my opinion they are just about as good as each other when both are playing their best games. And what do you mean by the Giants of 08?

Well, I'm actually a Leeds United Fan. Have been all my life, so I'm nto changing now even durign these hard time.

Man United didnt play well against Barca. Berbatov was a waste of moeny IMO. You should never have got rid of Sahah either, he was better than berbatov is now :p

I was dissappointed with teves and ronaldo's play. I expected more...

Messi was just legendary here. I think he's probably best footballer around somewhere after Rhonaldiniho and C. Ronaldo. Possibly even best player on top of those two.

I think the bottom line is that Man U and barca were pretty equal sides, but Barca played better and deserved the win. Having said that, Man U were the better side IMO.
 
Well I think messi is one of the best players, he is up there with Ronaldo, henry, fabregas, kaka.

What was the best buy of the season, I would say arshavin any one else?

I think that ronaldo is better, but will show up in the world cup. His portugal team is much better IMO.
 
Ronaldo is better. End of. I wasn't really dissappointed with Tevez as he was putting a lot of effort which could be seen. No idea why Park was even on. Berbatov hasn't really done much for United yet, but we'll see next season.
 
Well I obviously know those, I could make a massive list on world class players but I choose not to as it wastes my time... Gerrard is as good as kaka IMO

Henry WAS better than torres is now
 
Do you guys think that Brazil Will make it to the world cup finals this year? Ronaldo is getting old, but ronaldinio is still strong.
 
I hope. I don't really watch sports that much but I did a country report on it. I learned a lot and a lot about soccer.

Pretty good Michael. Anyways, I think that france-brazil would be the best potential matchup (besides the final of course). France and Henry have knocked out brazil the past two times the teams met, including 2006's semi's. Brazil will be yearning to win.
